Job DescriptionSalary: Job Summary: The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for driving multiple client IT projects as well as internal IT initiatives. Project types widely vary but generally include: infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, SharePoint, Wi-Fi buildouts, site onboardings, Telecom/ISP upgrades, desktop replacements, line-of-business software deployments, mergers/acquisitions, BPO. The PM will directly interface with clients and the companys virtual IT Directors and manage our cross-functional delivery and support teams at all stages of the project lifecycle. This is a full-time in-office position (not remote). Responsibilities: • Own stakeholder alignment: Integrate with client sponsors, SMEs, and Softrim cross-functional teams; establish a RACI and a communications plan (status cadence, steering updates, escalation paths)., • Author SOWs & project plans: Write clear scopes, assumptions, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and change-control language; define milestones, deliverables, and success metrics., • Capacity & resource planning: Forecast skills and effort, secure internal resources, coordinate procurement/subcontractors, and manage onboarding/offboarding to hit dates and margin targets., • Tooling & visibility: Implement PM solutions in Microsoft 365/SharePoint/Teams (Planner/Lists/Project for the web templates, RAID logs, dashboards), and integrate with ConnectWise PSA for tickets, time, procurement, and invoicing triggers., • Partner with vIT Directors: Translate roadmaps into executable projects; align scope, sequencing, and release plans with client priorities and maintenance windows., • Commercial & financial control: Understand contracts and pricing; manage budgets, burn, margin, WIP, and revenue recognition; track variances and initiate change orders when scope shifts., • Delivery governance: Drive momentum via critical path management, stage/gate reviews, and quality checkpoints; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with defined exit criteria., • Risk & issue management: Maintain a living RAID log; quantify probability/impact, build mitigation/contingency plans, monitor leading indicators (e.g., tasks blocked >3 days), and escalate early., • Solutioning & decision records: Facilitate design/workshops, compare alternatives (cost/benefit, risk), and maintain a decision log with owners and due dates., • Documentation lifecycle: Create and maintain project artifacts from kickoff to close; enforce delivery of technical documentation (configs, diagrams, runbooks) into the company knowledge base before handoff., • UAT & readiness: Plan and execute user acceptance testing (scripts, data sets, defect tracking), training plans, and production readiness reviews with formal sign-off., • Scope management & opportunities: Proactively flag out-of-scope items, prepare change requests, and surface value-add opportunities (modernization, optimization, security hardening)., • Standardized playbooks: Build and iterate project playbooks for new builds, client onboarding, modernization, incident response, and morecomplete with checklists, RACI, timelines, and acceptance criteria., • Operational handoff: Orchestrate clean transitions to operations/NOC (runbooks, CMDB/asset updates, monitoring thresholds, SLAs, support contacts)., • Compliance & change control: Align to client/industry requirements (e.g., SOC 2/HIPAA where applicable); run CAB submissions, maintenance windows, and back-out plans., • Vendor & dependency management: Coordinate ISPs, hardware/software vendors, and shipping/lead-time risks; track licensing and subscription start/renewal dates., • Reporting & continuous improvement: Publish weekly status (scope/schedule/cost/risks), maintain KPI dashboards (on-time %, budget variance, scope change rate, CSAT), and run post-mortems with documented lessons learned., • Communication excellence: Keep clear, proactive communication with clients and internal teams; promptly inform leadership of critical issues and recovery plans., • Administrative rigor: Accurately record time/notes, ensure ticket hygiene in ConnectWise, and maintain audit-ready project records., • Other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Bachelors degree or higher in a related field of study, • At least 5 years of IT Project Management experience, • Experience in managing Microsoft 365 projects involving SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Teams (preferred), • Experience in managing cloud, infrastructure, and VoIP projects (preferred), • Travel to client locations as needed Desired Skills: • Assertive and skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, • Strong management skills with the ability to coach and lead, • Professionalism, leadership, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers, clients, vendors, and others, • Exceptional organizational skills, • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills Work Location: 100% in-office. Employment Terms: Full-time, In-office, Exempt, Salary. Eligible for benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability) and 401(k) after introductory period. Typical business hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding company-observed holidays.
