Summary: The Quality Assurance Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring Mission Microwave products meet the highest standards of workmanship, configuration control, and customer compliance. This position is responsible for performing visual, mechanical, dimensional, and electrical inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to protecting product integrity in a fast-paced, high-precision aerospace and defense environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Review work orders and inspection packages to confirm correct part numbers, drawings, revisions, change orders, and required approvals., • Verify that all prior manufacturing operations have been properly completed and accepted., • Ensure required process specifications and workmanship standards are documented and followed., • Conduct visual inspections to evaluate physical condition, workmanship quality, and damage., • Perform dimensional and mechanical inspections using calipers, micrometers, scales, and other precision measurement tools., • Conduct fluorescent light and related inspection testing as required., • Verify configuration, record compliance data, and confirm test limits against specifications., • Identify and escalate production, material, or documentation discrepancies to Quality and Production leadership., • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation to support traceability and audit readiness., • Complete assigned surveillance audits., • Provide mentorship and training to junior inspectors as needed., • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality Engineering, and Management to support quality objectives., • Support additional quality-related initiatives as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or related technical environment., • Ability to read and interpret:, • Engineering drawings and schematics, • Work instructions and procedures, • Engineering change notices, • Work orders and inspection documents, • Working knowledge of dimensional inspection tools and measurement techniques., • Familiarity with weld inspection basics preferred., • Ability to verify configuration compliance and present documentation to customers when required., • Experience comparing test data against specification limits., • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems., • Strong attention to detail with a high level of ownership and accountability., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment., • Professional discretion and respect for confidential information. Education, Experience and/or Certifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Technical certificate, trade school, or college coursework preferred., • Minimum of 2 years of direct inspection experience required.
