GENERAL SUMMARY: In this essential role, you will lead a team of Technicians responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and servicing aircraft to ensure peak performance and regulatory compliance. From assigning aircraft tasks and projects to hands-on mechanical repairs, you'll play a critical part in maintaining the integrity and safety of every aircraft that enters our facility. As a Crew Chief, you will take the lead in driving aircraft maintenance projects from start to finish. You will coordinate the right people, tools, and documentation to keep projects running smoothly and ensure each aircraft is delivered on time and in top condition. Our Crew Chiefs are a key point of contact for customers and internal teams, creating strong partnerships and fostering a positive, team-driven environment. PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES: • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities to ensure aircraft are returned to service safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory standards., • Assign tasks, manage workflow, and allocate manpower to support on-time completion of heavy checks, line maintenance, modifications, and unscheduled repairs., • Serve as the central communication link between technicians, planners, inspectors, engineering, and customers to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and challenges., • Review work cards, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and full adherence to FAA and OEM requirements., • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with engineering or quality teams to develop timely, effective solutions that minimize aircraft downtime., • Perform hands-on maintenance as needed while modeling best practices, workmanship standards, and compliance expectations for the team., • Monitor project milestones, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity and meet MRO turnaround time (TAT) goals., • Ensure parts, tooling, and equipment are available and properly staged to support efficient workflow throughout the maintenance cycle., • Provide coaching, mentorship, and real-time feedback to technicians to support skill development, safety awareness, and continuous improvement., • High school diploma or GED, • 6+ years related experience in aircraft maintenance, mechanical systems repair, or technical troubleshooting, • Experience in an MRO, airline, or aerospace maintenance environment, • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate, • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of aircraft technicians, • Strong understanding of FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, and standard MRO procedures, • Strong understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles, • Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation, • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, • Basic computer skills for documentation and work order entry, • Strong safety awareness and ability to handle tools and materials safely, • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and in noisy environments, • Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments, • Ability to maintain a tool inventory in alignment with shop requirements, • Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge
