Job Description HVAC Controls Programmer | Building Automation Systems (BAS) Niagara N4 | DDC Programming | Building Automation Are you an experienced HVAC Controls Programmer or Building Automation Systems (BAS) professional looking for an opportunity to work on innovative commercial building automation projects? We're seeking a HVAC Controls Programmer to join a growing team responsible for programming, commissioning, and optimizing Building Automation Systems (BAS) for commercial, healthcare, industrial, educational, and institutional facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced DDC technologies while collaborating with experienced engineers, project managers, and field technicians to deliver high-performance HVAC control solutions. Responsibilities: • Program, configure, and commission DDC controllers for HVAC and Building Automation Systems, • Develop, test, troubleshoot, and optimize control logic to meet project specifications, • Create and modify graphical interfaces, sequences of operation, alarms, trends, and schedules, • Integrate third-party equipment and communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks, • Support startup, commissioning, and system validation activities, • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network communications, and controller issues, • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Technicians throughout project execution, • Produce and maintain programming documentation, control sequences, and system backups, • Optimize system performance to improve occupant comfort and energy efficiency, • Participate in code reviews and maintain programming standards and best practices Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience programming HVAC Controls or Building Automation Systems, • Experience with DDC programming and HVAC control sequences, • Hands-on experience with one or more BAS platforms such as:, • Niagara N4 / Tridium, • Johnson Controls Metasys, • Siemens, • Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, • Honeywell, • Automated Logic (ALC), • Distech Controls, • Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and other building automation communication protocols, • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, • Ability to read HVAC control drawings, electrical schematics, and sequences of operation, • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, Electrical Technology, or equivalent industry experience Company Offers: • Work with industry-leading Building Automation technologies, • Diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission-critical projects, • Collaborative engineering environment, • Stable organization with long-term career growth opportunities, • Competitive compensation based on experience, • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, • 401(k), • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays, • Professional training, technical development, and advancement opportunities If you're passionate about HVAC controls, automation, and developing high-performing Building Automation Systems, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss this confidential career opportunity with you.
