Job Description Job Title: Filler Machine Operator Job Description The Filler Machine Operator runs filler machines and associated production equipment to support safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing. This role minimizes downtime by monitoring equipment performance, performing basic adjustments, and supporting changeovers while maintaining strict safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. The operator rotates between filling lines, completes required production documentation, and collaborates with leadership on troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities • Operate filler machines and related production equipment to meet daily production goals while maintaining high quality standards., • Set up, start, stop, and adjust machines according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production requirements., • Monitor equipment performance throughout the shift, identify issues, and support troubleshooting to minimize downtime., • Perform basic mechanical adjustments and changeovers on filling and packaging lines as needed., • Ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and filling according to specifications and quality guidelines., • Follow and execute written SOPs, work instructions, and production schedules consistently and accurately., • Conduct visual inspections and basic quality checks to verify product integrity and packaging quality., • Complete all required production, quality, and equipment documentation clearly and accurately., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following housekeeping and 5S expectations on the production floor., • Adhere to all safety policies, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals and equipment., • Work independently to manage assigned machines and tasks while meeting deadlines and production targets., • Collaborate with team members and leadership to support continuous improvement, process efficiency, and problem resolution., • Rotate across different filling lines to support staffing needs and build technical versatility., • 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience., • Proven experience in machine operation or general production on a production line., • Mechanical aptitude with production equipment and the ability to perform basic machine setup and adjustments., • Ability to read, follow, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)., • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and accurate labeling and packaging., • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines., • Reliable attendance and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a physical work environment., • 3+ years of machine operating experience is highly beneficial., • Experience with AS400 systems is preferred., • Experience with packaging, labeling, and general production processes., • Strong mechanical mindset and interest in learning more advanced machine troubleshooting. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility that can include temperature extremes, noise, dust, wet conditions, and possible exposure to chemicals. Personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and hairnets is required and provided. The position is physically active and involves standing for long periods, lifting, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift. Multiple shift options are available: First Shift runs 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday, Second Shift runs 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM Monday through Thursday, and a Weekend Shift runs 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Friday through Sunday. The environment is structured, safety‑focused, and production‑driven, with clear procedures and expectations for performance and housekeeping. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
