Job Description Landmark is seeking a Receptionist Pharmacy Technician/Technician Trainee to join our growing home infusion pharmacy. This is a full-time position working 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday in office in Irving, Texas. The Customer Experience Pharmacy Technician/Technician Trainee can either be a Certified Pharmacy Technician or be willing to obtain their technician trainee license upon hire. This position would assist in multiple areas to enhance the patient experience and help fill in where needed, with the primary role being a receptionist. The position is heavily focused on customer service, phone etiquette, welcoming patients, making calls, and answering calls and questions from patients. When needed, we would also have this position assist in production and delivery areas. We do strongly prefer candidates to be fluent in both English and Spanish. The Customer Experience Pharmacy Technician/Technician Trainee must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment with excellent multitasking skills. We are looking for someone who is reliable, possesses a positive attitude, and seeks to grow their career in pharmacy. This position will perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: Receptionist Duties • Accepts calls on the pharmacy phone lines and transfers them to the appropriate parties as needed., • Provide excellent customer service to patients both in person and over the phone., • Scan Pharmacy documents to practice software ensuring complete records are processed., • Disseminate information to all relevant internal parties., • Greets in-person guests, ensures they are taken care of, and connects them with the appropriate employee as needed., • Enter and edit orders in order tracking systems., • Work with Patients and Referrals to procure proper information for reimbursement qualification., • Assist with collection of patient LAB results., • Communicate with patients to ensure they received their Landmark package., • Communicate with Patient regarding insurance reimbursement and patient responsibility., • Secure payment plan agreements for Patient responsibility amounts., • Fully document all reimbursement approvals or discovery., • Track, submit, and secure renewal authorizations., • Request, track and secure reimbursement documentation., • Maintains high knowledge level and proficiency of all policies and procedures pertaining to Landmark Healthcare., • Participates in scheduled training and in-service classes, as required., • Performs other duties/activities as directed within the scope of the individual’s training, experience, and level of competence., • Must be dependable and reliable, • Performs general organizational tasks, light cleaning and other duties as required Pharmacy Production and Refill Duties • Assist with Infusion Pharmacy processing, dispensing and delivery., • Intake, verification, medication preparation, sterile compounding, packing, and delivery., • Communicate heavily with Pharmacists, referrals, Patients and caregivers utilizing exceptional customer service skills., • Heavy use of Landmark computer information systems in order to answer questions, and process new orders and requested refills., • Uses math skills to calculate dosages., • Maintain timely and accurate written and digital Pharmacy records, and are heavy users of Landmark computer information systems., • Landmark Pharmacy Technicians work under the direct supervision of a Landmark Pharmacist, assisting with intake procedures for new patients and preparing infusion products for dispensing., • Assist with inventory management, including maintaining medicine and supply inventory, checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels, ordering inventory, checking pricing accuracy, counting and receiving items, and otherwise controlling inventory. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent, • Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician or be willing to obtain a Pharmacy Technician Trainee license upon hire., • Strong computer skills are a must, • Must have previous customer service experience, • Experience working in a healthcare setting is a plus, • Must be able to commute to the office in Irving, TX Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm., • Being fluent in Spanish in strongly preferred., • Strong customer service and communication skillsCompany DescriptionLandmark is an employee-owned, Joint Commission Accredited provider of Homecare products, including medical equipment and home infusion.
