Job DescriptionReady to run a full bottling line end-to-end? If you can set, tune, and troubleshoot every station from bottle in-feed to case sealer—and document it to cGMP/ISO standards—this role at STERIS in St. Louis is for you. Your Impact • Own daily setup and operation of the complete line: bottle in-feed, unscrambler, labeler, bottle filler, capper or plugger, cap torquer, Videojet code dater, check weigher, bar coder, case sealer, conveyors., • Manage materials: verify correct hose hookups, control panel settings, and request packaging supplies in time to keep the line moving., • Meet production schedules while maintaining precise written/electronic records (cGMP and ISO procedures)., • Train a replacement operator under supervisor direction and oversight., • Perform setup and minor maintenance; assist Maintenance when deeper repairs are required., • Execute accurate filling, weighing, capping, sealing, casing, labeling, and coding for powders, liquids, solids, creams, lotions, and pastes., • Handle rapid changeovers for different container sizes; dial in target weights for each format., • Keep the area audit-ready: clean equipment and floors; label hazardous waste (e.g., Cal Stat washout liquid) as “Hazardous Waste.”, • Capture quality and inventory control data in paper or electronic systems. Tech You’ll Use, • Automatic liquid fillers, pumps, filters, scales, sealers, cappers, valves, cap torquers, hoses, • Videojet coding systems, check weighers, bar coder, labelers, case sealers, conveyors, • Line monitoring components; cross-line hookups; routine mechanical adjustments during changeovers, • Liquid Fill Pumps and Equipment What You Bring Minimum, • High School Diploma/GED., • Ability to read instructions and equipment manuals; basic math, writing, and data entry., • Proficient palletization and accurate storage of materials and finished goods., • Consistent, cautious operation of moving equipment to protect teammates and property. Preferred, • 3+ years with liquid filling machinery, pumps, valves, piping, and cGMPs., • Experience in chemical manufacturing., • Experience in FDA or similarly regulated industries. Physical/Work Expectations, • Lift/carry up to approximately 60 lbs; climb to about 10 feet; stand for long periods., • Strong hand-eye coordination, good peripheral vision, manual dexterity; read scales, dials, gauges., • Wear required PPE; work with minimal supervision; communicate and collaborate effectively. Role Logistics, • Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday; overtime based on business needs., • Shift subject to change based on Union Bid System., • Pay: $23.59/hr + $0.75/hr shift differential + bonus paid bi-weekly., • Location: 7405 Page Ave., St. Louis, MO., • Employment: Direct, Full Time.
