We are seeking a IT Systems, Network & Field Service Technician to help manage and support the technology infrastructure across our stores and corporate offices. This position will work as part of an established IT team that includes application development and field-service resources. The primary focus of this role will be systems administration, network administration, telecommunications, infrastructure support, and technology operations, while also providing hands-on support at retail locations when needed. Responsibilities: Systems Administration • Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows-based servers, workstations, user accounts, permissions, and related business systems., • Support Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, file services, printing services, and other core infrastructure., • Assist with system updates, patch management, endpoint security, backups, monitoring, and disaster-recovery procedures., • Configure and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, point-of-sale hardware, and related peripherals., • Manage user on-boarding, technology access, equipment deployment, and off-boarding procedures., • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, equipment, licensing, passwords, procedures, and support activity. Network Administration • Monitor and support wired and wireless networks across retail stores and corporate offices., • Configure and troubleshoot network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VPN connections, and internet circuits., • Diagnose network connectivity, performance, DNS, DHCP, routing, and communication issues., • Coordinate with internet service providers, technology vendors, and outside support partners when escalation is required., • Help maintain reliable and secure connectivity between company locations and business systems., • Assist with network security, access controls, equipment upgrades, and infrastructure planning. Telecommunications Administration • Support and administer company telephone and telecommunications systems., • Manage phone extensions, voicemail, call routing, mobile devices, carrier services, and related user requests., • Troubleshoot telephone, cellular, internet, and communication-service issues., • Coordinate with telecommunications providers and vendors for installations, repairs, service changes, and outages., • Maintain documentation of telephone numbers, extensions, devices, contracts, and carrier services. Field and End-User Support • Travel between London Jewelers retail stores and corporate offices to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair technology equipment., • Ensure that store and corporate employees receive timely support for PCs, point-of-sale equipment, printers, phones, mobile devices, networks, and other business technology., • Respond to technical issues using appropriate troubleshooting, diagnostic, repair, and testing procedures., • Provide support both remotely and in person., • Escalate application-related issues to the application-development team and coordinate with other IT technicians as appropriate., • Assist with store openings, renovations, technology upgrades, equipment replacements, and special events., • Track equipment, service requests, repairs, warranties, and technology inventory. Travel and Availability • Must be able to travel regularly to company locations throughout Long Island, New York City, and New Jersey., • Occasional travel to out-of-state locations may be required., • Must be available during regular business hours and, when necessary, after hours, on weekends, and on holidays., • A six-day workweek during the holiday season is required., • Must be able to respond to urgent infrastructure, network, telecommunications, and store-operations issues. Required Qualifications/Experience: • Hands-on experience administering and supporting Windows-based computer environments., • Working knowledge of systems administration, network administration, and telecommunications support., • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, printers, networking equipment, and related technology., • Knowledge of PC, printer, network, and connectivity diagnostics., • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues remotely, by phone, and in person., • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills., • Strong oral and written communication skills., • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users., • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and follow issues through resolution., • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to travel between company locations. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file and print services., • Experience supporting switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and multi-location environments., • Experience managing telephone, mobile-device, or telecommunications systems., • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint-management platforms., • Experience with Apple device management or mobile-device-management systems., • Experience supporting retail, point-of-sale, or multi-location business environments., • Familiarity with backup systems, cybersecurity practices, endpoint protection, and system monitoring., • Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or other technical certifications are a plus. Job Type: • Full-time Salary: • $35.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience, technical qualifications, and demonstrated knowledge of systems, network, and telecommunications administration.
