Job Description Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to support the COUTURE show within the Jewelry Group. COUTURE is a global leader within the designer fine jewelry industry and is considered a destination-event for top tier retailers and influential press. COUTURE is lauded for nurturing talent and for fostering a strong sense of community that persists year-round. The Account Executive is responsible for selling exhibit space, sponsorships, and advertising. As part of the sales process, the Account Executive will also prospect for new business, manage customer service inquiries from exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers, and provide other support to the show team as needed. The Account Executive will also work closely with the show marketing and operations teams to ensure their clients have successful events. The best candidate for this position will have at least two years of sales experience, with a strong preference for experience in either the tradeshow industry or in the fine jewelry industry. You should have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a deadline-driven environment. Ideally, you will also be familiar with Salesforce. RESPONSIBILITIES • Execute and implement sales strategies to maximize exhibit space, sponsorship, and digital ad sales via face-to-face visits, telephone calls and electronic communications to meet and exceed goals as assigned by Brand Director and Brand Manager., • Uncover new exhibitor markets to generate new sales, grow and maintain prospecting database, • Work with the Brand Director and Brand Manager to collectively meet weekly, monthly and overall sales targets, • Manage allocation of booth space, sponsorship, and floor plan changes as needed, • Work with marketing team to develop prospect lists and assist in data input, • Work with show sales, marketing and operations teams to be sure sponsorship initiatives are fulfilled in advance of, onsite, and post show, • Other duties as assigned per the needs of the division/show REQUIREMENTS • At least two years of demonstrated success in B2B sales, with prior trade show sales experience and/or experience in the fine jewelry industry a strong plus, • Ability to sell face to face, by telephone, and by email, with a proven track record in creating and building relationships, • Strong sales/negotiation skills with a proven track record with targeting appropriate prospects and closing sales while effectively building relationships, • Strong customer service skills, • Salesforce experience or similar CRM program experience strongly preferred, • Able to employ social media for generating sales, • Willing and able to travel overnight for up to 10-20% of the time for up to a week ABOUT EMERALD Emerald’s talented and experienced teams grow our customers’ businesses 365 days a year with products that create connections, deliver content, and drive commerce. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Target Compensation: $65,000-75,000 (sales incentive eligible) Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
