Job Summary: The Human Resources Specialist is a key member of the HR team responsible for managing employee relations, HR operations, and supporting recruiting activities. This role will handle sensitive and complex employee relations matters, ensure HR operational processes are executed efficiently, and provide recruiting support to help the organization’s hiring efforts. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining a positive employee experience while enabling strategic HR initiatives. Reporting Relationship: Director, Human Resources Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This hybrid role requires three on-campus days per week, with specific days varying based on business need. Generally, all positions may be performed on-campus. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro. Scope of the Role: • Employee Relations, • Lead corrective action processes, including performance improvement plans, written warnings, and disciplinary actions, • Manage employee separations, including preparation, facilitation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws, • Respond to Unemployment Insurance claims and participate in hearings when necessary, • Conduct workplace investigations involving employee conduct, policy violations, and other workplace concerns, • Coach managers and collaborate with employees to support conflict resolution and positive outcomes, • Serve as a point of escalation for sensitive employee issues to support HR Director and leadership, • HR Operations, • Manage employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews, equipment retrieval, and documentation, • Handle general HR administrative tasks, including HRIS updates, recordkeeping, reporting, and process documentation, • Contribute to policy creation and Employee Handbook updates, • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including system and process implementation, to improve operational efficiency, • Help drive culture initiatives within the team and organization, • Participate in new hire orientation, supporting a positive new hire experience, • Recruiting Support, • Assist with candidate interviews, communication, and applicant screening, including reference checks and background checks, • Draft job descriptions and offer letters, • Collaborate with Talent Specialist to help maintain candidate pipelines and manage administrative recruiting tasks, • Other Responsibilities, • Participate in HR team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, • PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification preferred, • 3+ years of experience in employee relations, including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, and employee separations, • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, including interviewing and sourcing, • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and performance management processes, • Proficient with HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and collaborative effectively with others, • Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection, • Must have a distraction free home office workspace At ScriptPro, we believe that our employees are our greatest asset. Completion of annual cybersecurity and privacy awareness training is required, as the role aligns with the organization’s security posture and risk management practices. All duties are defined in accordance with standardizations to ensure consistency and accountability of the policies. Working Conditions: Requires routine use of standard equipment and extended computer use. Employee must be able to sit, use hands and fingers, and occasionally lift, squat, stoop, bend, and reach. Problem-solving, practical learning, and instruction interpretation skills are essential.
