Job Description Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: Gentle Dentistry of Las Colinas We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: • Patient Care & Comfort: Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check-ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have., • Assist with Procedures: Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well-prepared for each procedure., • Instrument Sterilization & Safety: Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations., • Lab Tasks & Post-Operative Care: Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post-operative care instructions., • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures., • Scheduling & Office Support: Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked., • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting., • Certification: Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) is required. Additional certifications such as EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) or Radiology Certifications are a plus., • Skills & Knowledge:, • In-depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols., • Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments., • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office., • Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred., • Clinical Competence: Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures., • Communication & Patient Care: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort., • Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively., • Additional Certifications: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), Radiology Certification, or Dental Hygiene Assistant certification., • Competitive Salary, • 401(k) Matching, • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays #INDMP
