Job Description Sr. Cost Accountant Premier PV is searching for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX or Baton Rouge, LA. Reporting to the Accounting Manager. The Senior Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing group. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partner with Operations in Standard Cost creation and maintenance, • Prepare and provide analyses of cost variances, • Be the SME in cost-related matters, work effective with cross-functional partners, • Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts, • Performs annual cost rolls, • Lead the monthly close process relating to Revenue and COGS, including preparation of journal entries, allocations, reconciliations, and financial reports, • Assist with quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting in COGS related matters, • Research and interpret COGS data to answer accounting and financial questions, • Ensure the integrity of internal controls in compliance with SOX and company policies, • Participate in ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, • Working knowledge of US GAAP standards and applications, including reading and understanding the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, • Proven track record in working in a high volume, low mix manufacturing environment as a member of the costing team, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook), • Superior analytical skills, combined with business judgment and effective communication abilities, • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism, • Able to work independently and as part of a team, • Experience with ERP accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, SAP) BENEFITS AND PAY: • Competitive salary range of $86k - $101k annually, based on experience and qualifications.
