About the Role As a Contract Litigation Attorney, you will manage real estate and housing-related civil litigation from inception through resolution. The role provides immediate responsibility, diverse case exposure, and the potential to transition into a full-time or temp-to-perm position. Key Responsibilities • Handle real estate, construction, and housing litigation matters, • Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions for state and federal courts, • Conduct and defend depositions, • Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations, • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, • Communicate directly with clients and maintain accurate reporting Ideal Candidate • Licensed California attorney in good standing, • 2–5 years of civil litigation experience, • Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, • Background in real estate, construction, or housing law preferred, • Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and accountability Practice Areas • Real Estate & Housing Litigation, • Affordable Housing Programs (HUD, Section 8, LIHTC), • Land Use & Construction Disputes, • Public Entity Representation Compensation & Structure • Annual equivalent of $110,000 – $160,000, based on experience - $70.00/hr - $100.00/hr, • Discretionary year-end bonuses, • Competitive hourly rate if structured as a contract, • Potential for full-time or temp-to-perm conversion Work Environment • Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration several days per week in San Diego, • 1,800–2,000 annual billable hours, • Supportive culture emphasizing mentorship, independence, and client service About Mission Recruiting Represented by Mission Recruiting, one of the nation's leading legal recruiting firms.
