Job DescriptionSalary: Title: Software Asset Management Support Specialist Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Description Arrowpoint is seeking a Software Asset Management Support Specialist to support the Army Materiel Command (AMC) and the G6 Chief Information Officer (CIO), providing comprehensive support and expertise in managing software assets. Their primary responsibility is to support the AMC CIO in the implementation, oversight, procurement, and maintenance of effective software asset management (SAM) processes, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing software utilization, and driving cost efficiencies for the government. Responsibilities • Assist in the development and implementation of software asset management (SAM) policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with government regulations and industry standards, • Conduct regular audits and inventories to track software licenses, usage, and compliance across multiple government departments, • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and software vendors to maintain accurate software asset inventory, including license entitlements, procurement records, and usage data, • Provide guidance and support to end-users regarding software license compliance, usage restrictions, and optimal utilization of software resources, • Perform license reconciliations and identify areas of non-compliance or potential license breaches, taking necessary corrective actions to mitigate risks, • Assist in the negotiation and renewal of software licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the government agencies, • Stay up-to-date with software licensing models, industry trends, and emerging technologies, providing recommendations for cost-saving opportunities and process improvements, • Collaborate with the government's IT teams to integrate software asset management processes into existing IT service management frameworks, • Generate reports and maintain documentation related to software assets, license agreements, compliance status, and cost optimization initiatives, • Proficient with Power BI; capable of designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions using Power BI Qualifications and Education Requirements • U.S. Citizenship, • 3 years of experience in a software management environment., • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, • Proven experience in software asset management, license compliance, and vendor management, preferably in a government or large enterprise environment, • In-depth knowledge of software licensing models, contract terms, and procurement processes, • Familiarity with software asset management tools and technologies, such as SAM tools, discovery tools, and license management systems, • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex licensing terms and agreements, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels and present information effectively, • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance, • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, • Knowledge of government regulations, policies, and security requirements related to software asset management Preferred Qualifications • Relevant certifications, e.g., CSAM, IAITAM, ISO 19770 Clearance Requirements • Secret Clearance About Us Arrowpoint is a specialized, professional services firm focused on delivering high-impact services with a bias for execution in the areas of project management, change management, cybersecurity engineering, and enterprise technology adoption.
