The 1916 Companys vibrant community extends from coast to coast and around the world Job Summary: We'relooking for a creative and strategic Social MediaManagerto drive our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, and other key platforms. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on content creation, requiring someone who can both develop compelling content strategies and execute high-quality creative that drives brand awareness, community engagement, and conversions,and guide a direct report to do the same. You'llown the social media strategy and content calendar across our core product categories: watches, jewelry, handbags, andliveshopping.You will alsodirectlymanage a content creator based in our Baltimore location, providing day-to-day creative direction,coachingand performance feedback.Working closely with ourbroadercreativeand marketingteam,you'llbe responsible forproducing engaging content that authenticallyrepresentsour brand and resonates with our audience. This role is perfect for someone who understands digital culture, stays ahead of trends, and knows how to translate content into meaningful engagement and brand growth.Given the nature of social media,this role may requiremonitoring andresponding to social media inquiries outside of traditional workhours, andmay require travel betweenour locationsfor content planning and creation. Responsibilities: Strategy & Planning • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with businessobjectivesfor4 separate and distinctbrandchannelsmeetingobjectivesincludingbrand awareness, community building, and sales conversion, • Define content strategyand personasfor each product category (watches, jewelry, handbags,liveselling) whilemaintainingcohesive brand storytelling, • Establish and track KPIs, analyze performance metrics, andoptimizecontent based on data insights, • Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm changes, and emerging social media best practices, • Create and manage monthly content calendars that balance promotional, educational, and community-focused content, • Monitor competitor social activity andcultural moments that arein linewith our industry and brandtoinform strategy andidentifyconcept opportunities Content Creation & Production • Produce,direct,orcoordinatehigh-quality, on-brand content for Instagram and TikTok, including Reels, Stories, TikToks, carousels, and static posts, • Film, edit, andoptimizevideo content that drives engagement and aligns with platform-specific best practices, • Collaborate with the creative team to develop supplemental content assets and ensure visual consistency, • Writecompelling copy and captions that reflect brand voice and driveaudience action,incollaboration withthecopy team, • Identifyand capitalize on emerging on-brand trendswith speed andcreative judgement, • Source and curate user-generated contenttosupplement originalcreative, • Ideate,manageand plan content for internal brand influencers for sharing on personal &corporateaccounts Community & Growth • Build and engage with our online community through authentic interaction andtimelyresponsesvia comments, messages and mentionsacrosscore accounts, • Identifypartnership and collaboration opportunities that align with brand values, • Test and iterate onnew contentformats, features, and platform opportunities, • Track, analyze, and report on performance using social media analytics,presentingfindingsandsharingfuture roadmapimpacts, • Input leads that come from social media into CRM People Management • Directly manage a content creator based in our Baltimore location,serving as theirday-to-daymanager, • Provide clear creative briefs, constructivefeedbackand hands on coachingoncontentquality,platform bestpracticesand brand standards, • Set performance expectations andconductregularcheck-ins, supportingprofessional growth anddevelopment, • Collaboration with creator toensureBaltimoregenerated content aligns with overall strategy and brand voice WhatYoullBring: • Minimum4+years of experience in social media management, • Strong use and understanding ofsocial media scheduling tools, • Proven experience managing Instagram and TikTok accounts, • Strong understanding of social mediamarketing strategies,analyticsand performance metrics, • Experience with trend casting andidentifyingviral or emerging content, • Strong communicationskills and creative mindset, • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred • Experience withor strongenthusiasmforluxurybrands, • Experience working with cross-functional teams (creative, product, marketing), • Photo and video editing skills, • At least 1 year in asenior lead orpeoplemanagementrole, • Familiarity withlive shopping formatsand the ability tocreate content that drivesreal-timeaudience engagement
