Job description: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Instrumentation and Controls Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and oversight of I&C technicians engaged in the inspection, repair, calibration, and rebuilding of electrical and instrumentation systems and their associated structures. The Supervisor will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution of maintenance activities while supporting plant performance, compliance, and long-term asset integrity. Role and Key Responsibilities: • Direct, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) technicians., • Conduct System Condition Assessments to identify deficiencies, document findings, and implement corrective actions., • Utilize plant and industry-standard software and analytical tools to develop performance and availability improvement initiatives., • Participate in project planning and execution, including scope reviews, design basis requirements, walk-downs, compliance checks, and acceptance testing., • Plan and support major component overhauls and scheduled system outages., • Lead root cause analyses of forced outages and equipment failures, driving corrective and preventive actions., • Interface with and monitor activities of third-party equipment and service providers., • Document and resolve unplanned design basis changes., • Develop, review, and oversee acceptance test plans and ensure compliance with engineering standards., • Maintain and update design basis documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance., • Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations to inform capital planning, senior management, and stakeholders., • Provide engineering and technical support to Station and Plant leadership., • Represent the organization on cross-functional committees and industry working groups., • Establish and maintain effective communication with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies., • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance within a large process industry (power generation, refinery, military/merchant marine)., • At least 4 years of supervisory experience required., • Strong knowledge of control system design, construction, operations, maintenance, testing, and analysis within the utility, oil & gas, or marine propulsion industries., • Experience with DCS, PLC, BMS, low-voltage switchgear, breakers, power cables (up to 480V), UPS, and MCCs., • Proficiency in equipment sizing and analysis, life cycle management, protection schemes, relay settings, and PLC programming., • Familiarity with industry codes, standards, procedures, and specifications; ability to obtain advanced knowledge as required., • Proven leadership skills, including direct supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop personnel., • Prior experience supervising a unionized workforce is strongly preferred., • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is highly desirable., • Experience managing a unionized workforce is a plus., • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat, heights, high-voltage switchyards, confined spaces, fuel storage areas, marine environments, and other industrial settings. Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory., • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods., • Will be required to work while wearing respirators or SCBA equipment., • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and perform work at heights using scaffolds., • Must be able to perform tasks in confined spaces and above active waterways., • Standard hours are Monday-Friday arriving before and leaving after the workforce. The workforce hours are 7-3:30 which (typically) results in supervisors working a 6:30a – 4:00p schedule. Prepares the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures, including setting up surgical supplies, instruments and equipment using sterile technique and ensuring that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely., 2. Assists healthcare professionals in receiving, labelling and verifying sterile solutions and medications to be administered during surgery according to established protocol; may assist anesthesia personnel., 3. Verifies patient’s identity, correct surgical site, and correct surgical procedure., 4. Assists in moving and positioning patient for surgery; adheres to established safety guidelines., 5. Engages in appropriate gowning and gloving procedures in perioperative setting., 6. Assists healthcare professionals to perform non-invasive preparation of the skin’s surface; drapes patients for surgery., 7. Assists surgeon throughout the operative procedure, including anticipating instrument needs. Responsible for handing instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeon; maintains accurate count of sponges, needles and instruments in perioperative setting., 8. Assists in the surgeon’s provision of hemostasis during surgery., 9. Holds retractor after placement by a healthcare professional during procedure., 10. Maintains and monitors surgical asepsis during all surgical procedures according to established guidelines., 11. Prepares and applies bandages and sterile and non-sterile dressings to incision site; may prepare suture material as directed by surgeon., 12. May assist with transfer of patient to recovery room following surgery; provides nursing care as necessary and appropriate., 13. Properly cares for, and handles specimens taken for laboratory analysis., 14. May assist with the cleaning of the operating room and replenishment of supplies once procedure is complete., 15. May operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines and electrosurgical units; may assist with diagnostic equipment., 16. Participates in staff development activities as appropriate and required., 17. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed by surgeon and/or other appropriate personnel. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Holds and maintains a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); or, 2. Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists or successful completion of an appropriate training program for surgical technology in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally accredited surgical technologist credentialing organization other than the NBSTSA, such as the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Special Note: Any employee who functions as a Surgical Technologist will be required to annually complete fifteen (15) hours of continuing education in order to remain qualified to perform the functions of a Surgical Technologist at an NYC Health + Hospitals facility.

Senior Port Logistics Coordinator - Offshore Construction Support Location Brooklyn, NY (on-site at temporary port warehouse). Position summary You will manage on-site logistics at a port facility that feeds an offshore substation installation and commissioning campaign. The role requires strong port-operations experience, excellent coordination with warehouse manager, port operators, vessel and offshore teams (including refuelling / bunkering coordination), and other roles as necessary to successfully support the safe and efficient commission activities. This position works closely with marine operations, HSE, offshore management, subcontractors and project supply chain. Key responsibilities • Run day-to-day logistics operations in preparation of and during port calls: liaise with vessel masters, port agents, stevedores and marine coordinators to plan berthing, loading/discharging windows and turnaround priorities. Produce/maintain vessel shift logs and cargo manifests where required., • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as appropriate to ensure safe and efficient port operations with input from multiple stakeholders., • Arrange and coordinate refuelling / bunkering requests when required, ensuring all permits, HSE and port procedures are followed and logged., • Supervise on-site stevedore/staging activity and ensure correct lifting/crane/forklift procedures are followed (including slinging, tagging and safe load handling)., • Support installation & commissioning logistics for the offshore substation: pre-stage equipment and consumables, coordinate last-minute requisitions, and ensure timely transfer to vessels., • Manage HSE compliance on-site: ensure PPE, permits-to-work, ISPS/port security requirements and safety briefings are in place for all personnel accessing the port and warehouse. Escalate and record incidents., • Maintain clear documentation: packing lists, bills of landing, cargo movement records, material issue/return logs, and daily/shift reports for the project supply-chain team and client., • Collaborate with warehouse manager, supply chain / procurement and finance for purchase orders, invoicing and cost tracking related to port services and logistics. Minimum qualifications & experience (must have) • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in port operations, terminal logistics, or warehouse coordination — preferably supporting marine/offshore projects (offshore wind, oil & gas or heavy-lift marine projects)., • Demonstrable experience arranging port calls and coordinating vessel movements, including working with port agents and stevedores., • Strong hands-on warehouse skills: stock control, picking/packing, issuing materials and basic stores housekeeping., • Valid TWIC card (or ability to obtain) and eligibility to work on US port facilities. (If candidate does not hold TWIC, indicate time to obtain.), • Demonstrable experience supervising forklift/crane operations onshore., • Excellent verbal and written communication — ability to liaise with vessel masters, subcontractors, technicians and project managers., • Willing and able to work irregular hours and early/late shifts as required by port calls. Working Conditions / Benefits / Commercial • Temporary contract based in Brooklyn at a temporary port warehouse supporting a multi-billion-dollar offshore substation project.
