software., • Support CNC milling operations by understanding setups, fixtures, and order of operations to ensure manufacturability and efficiency., • Review parts lists for completeness, accuracy of specifications, and material notes, ensuring alignment with customer and internal requirements., • Verify material certifications for critical requirements, including fracture testing, ultimate tensile strength (UTS), yield strength (YS), and other mechanical properties., • Create detailed routing steps for production in the ERP/E2 system and update routings as processes or requirements change., • Specify and review protective finishes for aluminum alloys, corrosion-resistant steels (CRES), steel, and titanium, including anodize, chemical conversion, and passivation., • Collaborate with processing vendors to define and approve masking locations for primer and topcoat applications., • Prepare and submit critical frozen planning packages to customers for approval and review outside process routers for completeness, correct processes, and correct specifications., • Apply knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures and specifications, such as penetrant and ultrasonic inspection, when defining and reviewing manufacturing processes., • Create and interpret detailed drawings using third angle projection, tolerance blocks, and revisions, with Siemens NX experience as a plus., • Read and apply GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009 from blueprints and apply appropriate GD&T for inspection and manufacturing purposes., • Develop detail drawings with appropriate tolerances for size, location, orientation, and form, including profile, position, flatness, and perpendicularity., • Work with solid models to create and dimension drawings suitable for production and inspection., • Validate translated CAD models against the master 3D CAD model to ensure deviations remain within acceptable tolerance limits., • Determine and order appropriate material stock sizes based on the number of operations, machining approach, and machinist input., • Submit production issues and nonconformances to customers for proper disposition, including requests for information and change requests., • Collaborate with customer MRB, engineering, quality, and procurement teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions., • Work with the production team to prepare bid packages and establish piece prices for parts and assemblies., • Gather and analyze material costs, tooling charges, special tooling requirements, outside process costs, and hardware needs to support accurate quoting., • Estimate and document cycle times and setup times to manufacture parts using the most efficient sequence and minimum number of operations., • Quote outside processing and finishing operations, balancing lead time, price, and expedite options to support program and customer schedules., • Apply AS9100 procedures in daily work and support compliance with AS9102 requirements for first article inspection documentation., • Use process control methods (such as SPC) and lean principles to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance quality., • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing clear technical guidance, status updates, and issue resolution., • Fabrication experience working with aluminum, titanium, and steel, particularly in forming and sheet metal applications., • Hands-on experience with flat pattern development, including calculation of bend deductions and forming allowances., •
