Job DescriptionSalary: $74,000 - $106,000 DOE School Psychologist - Tucson Campus (6th-12th Grade), 26/27 school year $3k Sign-On Bonus and up to $1,000/year in non-taxable reimbursement for CEUs and licensure fees. Arizonas first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a School Psychologist to implement a strategic plan for creating and implementing a special education evaluation process. Under the supervision and direction of Campus and Charter Leadership, the School Psychologist will be responsible for creating and implementing a special education evaluation process aligned to IDEA and state guidelines. The school psychologist will support compliance, programming, interventions, and parent involvement. Duties: • Administer cognitive, achievement, social/emotional, adaptive, autism spectrum, and other relevant assessments to students., • Evaluate and interpret student data to make recommendations for appropriate services within the full range of regular and special education programs., • Obtain signatures on Permission to Evaluate forms and communicate to staff in a timely manner when completed, • Interpret individual test findings and recommendations to parents of students who are being considered for placement in special education programs., • Consult with teachers, administrators, and other professionals on specific diagnostic findings concerning students to maximize educational development through placement or educational management., • Develop a school mentor program to support students' social-emotional development, • Consult with parents concerning students learning potentials, achievement levels, and personality adjustments, and recommend ways of helping the students and providing sources of further professional assistance., • Prepare and submit special education data upon request, • Share in the responsibility of reviewing incoming students records to ensure compliance., • Attend IEP Meetings as the LEA representative as needed, • Follow timelines to complete paperwork in a timely manner, • Develop compliant evaluations and paperwork for each student, • Follow the schools Child Find Process in compliance with ADE, • Assist in monitoring the accuracy of the schools special education census with the Campus Assistant Director., • Keep informed of new developments in school psychology, educational practice, and special education law., • Create and deliver professional development for all staff to support, • Perform other duties as assigned.
