Job DescriptionMPD Field Service Technician - $30-$40/HR DOE This is a contract position with an opportunity to be hired full-time. Integrity Trade Services is partnered with a leading supplier of drilling products and is hiring a Field Service Technicians in Houston, TX. Rotation: 4 Weeks on, 2 Weeks off (Subject to Change) Schedule: Both Day Shift (6am-6pm) and Night Shift (6pm-6an) Are Available TRAVEL REQUIRED TO ANYWHERE SERVICE NEEDED - CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA Travel: mainly will be located in the shop, however, this individual may be required to travel for service calls. Service areas are in Houston and West Texas. Our customer will cover all travel costs and lodging outside of the Houston area. Field Service Technician Top Skills Required: • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a field service technician, • Previous rig mechanic experience, • Experienced with hydraulic schematics, • Proficient computer knowledge/experience, • Must be motivated and a self-starter, • Must have stable work history (not interested in any job hoppers), • Calibration, Maintenance, Repair, Troubleshooting Project Start-up, • Operation of MPD System components, • Experienced mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills., • Understanding of the MPD Choke Control Software, • Basic understanding of setting up and operating the various MPD Applications., • Operate multi-meters and signal generators needed to setup and calibrate instrumentation. The Field Service Technician will provide a high level of customer service internally and externally for product sales, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires a high level of focus and attention to detail as well as self-motivation. Field Service Technician Primary Responsibilities: • Interface with internal team to obtain a thorough understanding of the customer’s Service Equipment products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems resolved in a timely manner., • Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of customer products, • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical), • Install and operate the MPD Control System on rigs., • Understand some technical aspects of the MPD activities during the project, • Provide project support and technical advice to client, drilling contractor and MPD operational personnel via the Well Site Supervisor (WSS)., • Assist with the development of the end of well report (EOWR), • Develop event graphs on regular basis or on customer demand., • Ensure the compliance of, and the implementation, of all Q&HSE procedures during the operational project activity., • Calibrate, document, troubleshoot, and repair/replace instrumentation for systems that measure and control level, temperature, pressure, flow, and other process variables., • Assist with rig up and rig down of equipment on each well under the guidance of the WSS., • Develop a systematic approach to troubleshooting and assist where needed., • Maintain a constant support of the drilling operation., • Perform maintenance and system checks on the MPD equipment., • Monitor the operation of the choke manifold and supporting equipment, and to operate system components under the strict guidance of the WSS., • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield, • Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance), • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems, • Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures, • Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate and maintain equipment., • Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments, • Clear, concise, and accurate service reporting upon completion of service, • The technician is self-dispatched. This requires an independent self- starter, self- directed person who possesses the ability to diagnose and determine requirements, plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer., • Will interact directly with internal as well as external customers on a daily basis, and as such must possess competencies such organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation and project management skills., • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned, • High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school education in mechanical or related field is preferred., • Proven experience as an Oilfield, Rig or Industrial Mechanic or similar role, with a focus on Iron Roughnecks, Catwalks, Torque Machines or other related equipment is preferred, • Experience demonstrated and recorded applicable to servicing tools, • 2-4 years of field experience in the oil and gas industry including drilling rig operations., • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, • Preferred Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with a minimum of 2-3 years related to MPD/UBD/PMCD operations., • Technical Competency with MPD Operations and Equipment., • Adheres to all HSE requirements, • Working hours to be identified by manager, including On Call hours, • Must be able to work in factory environment which may include but are not limited to: high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors, • Able to communicate professionally with internal and external customers, • Non-standard work hours, 24/7 contact/availability expectations for operational support, • Comply with Global and Local QHSE policies At ITS, we offer our employees a competitive salary paid weekly and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
