    New Store Opening, Operations Training Manager maman Multi-Market Role (home base in NYC, Charlotte, Dallas, DC or Greater Miami) Extensive Travel Required At Maman, we believe every café should feel like coming home --- warm hospitality, thoughtful food, beautiful spaces, and teams that care deeply about the guest experience. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a New Store Opening, Operations Training Manager specialized in front of house operations and with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and specialty coffee. This role will help bring each new Maman to life with excellence, consistency, and heart. This role is for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves building teams from the ground up, and feels energized by travel and new beginnings. While this role may be based in Charlotte, Dallas, DC, or the Greater Miami area, it requires extensive travel (approximately 9--10 months per year) to support new café openings, with cross-market support and re-training initiatives in mature markets during opening downtimes. About the Role As a NSO Operations Training Manager, you will serve as Maman's operational and training ambassador during new café openings. You will prepare teams to deliver exceptional food, service, hospitality and culture from day one, ensuring each café opens with confidence and consistency. You will lead pre-opening ordering, setup and organization, support onboarding and in-café training, assess operational readiness, support staffing, and partner closely with leadership to guide each location from opening through stabilization. During non-opening periods, you will assist with re-training initiatives and operational reinforcement in mature markets. This is a salaried, field-based leadership role requiring flexibility, resilience, and a true passion for developing others. Maman's NSO Operations Manager should have a thorough understanding of all operational tools and training materials the company uses in the front of house, back of house and barista stations. What You'll Do New Café Launches • Assist in ordering in-store materials and small equipment, • Set up and organize items ordered for each cafe station, specifically the expo, counter and water stations, • Assist with the hire of new team members, • Lead onboarding, immersive hands-on training, and station certification for hourly and salaried team members, • Ensure all team members reach operational proficiency and embody maman's service standards, • Conduct readiness assessments and partner with leadership to ensure a smooth transition from opening to stabilized operations, • Support recruiting efforts, including interviewing and selecting team members during launch phases, • Deliver training using varied instructional styles to meet diverse learning needs, • Step into shifts as needed to support execution and model excellence, • Reinforce maman's culture, systems, and service philosophy and team building across markets, • Adapt quickly to evolving processes, tools, and initiatives introduced during openings, • Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, • Partner with Operations, HR, Food and Beverage, Marketing teams to ensure consistency and scalability, • Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials, tools, and launch processes, • Provide cross-region support as needed Who You Are • Experienced in multi-unit restaurant openings or training in high-volume hospitality environments, • Leadership experience, • Deeply knowledgeable in food safety standards, • A strong and empathetic coach who knows how to hold teams accountable while building trust, • Comfortable managing shifts and operating a café with confidence, • Highly organized and detail-oriented, even in fast-moving environments, • Skilled in adapting your training approach to different learning styles, • Calm under pressure and capable of making informed, time-sensitive decisions, • Passionate about mentoring, developing others, and building strong teams, • Energized by travel and comfortable being on the road extensively, • Coffee/Barista trained, an asset Requirements • Must be 21 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S., • Ability to stand for extended periods and work full shifts, • Open availability, including holidays and weekends, • Reliable transportation and ability to travel extensively within assigned region, • State based Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain) Compensation Benefits Salary Range: 80,000 - 120,000 annual Multi-Location Role Extensive Travel Required We offer: • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Plan opportunities, • Employee Discounts, • Commuter benefit, • Discretionary annual bonus Benefits salary may vary by state and work experience
