Job Description Job Title: Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling and packaging a variety of heavy-duty cases and mid-size flashlights used to protect and store valuable equipment such as cameras and lighting accessories. You will follow technical drawings and work instructions, use hand and power tools, and ensure all products meet quality and safety standards. The position involves working in a clean, production-oriented environment with opportunities to learn new equipment and grow into a long-term role. Responsibilities • Assemble various sizes of heavy-duty cases designed to store and protect equipment such as cameras and lighting accessories., • Assemble mid-size flashlights on a dedicated production line, ensuring all components fit and function correctly., • Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately and efficiently., • Use hand tools and small power tools, including drills, hammers, and rivet machines, to assemble cases and flashlights., • Add foam inserts and other protective materials to each case according to specifications., • Perform packaging tasks, including taping boxes, shrink-wrapping products, and preparing items for shipment., • Operate or learn to operate pallet jacks and automated shrink wrap machines as needed for material handling and packaging., • Count and track inventory to ensure accurate quantities and support production and shipping needs., • Lift and move materials and finished products weighing between approximately 7 and 35 pounds throughout the shift., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment., • Inspect assembled products for quality, completeness, and adherence to specifications before packaging or moving to the next stage., • Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Essential Skills • Experience in assembly, production, light industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written work instructions., • Proficiency using hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, and basic mechanical tools., • Proficiency using power tools such as small drills and rivet machines in a safe and controlled manner., • Mechanical assembly skills, including fitting, fastening, and aligning components., • Ability to perform packaging tasks, including taping boxes and preparing items for shipment., • Capability to lift and handle items weighing up to approximately 40 pounds, with typical lifting between 7 and 35 pounds., • Willingness and ability to pass a drug screen, • Comfort working in a production environment with repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail., • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in manufacturing or distribution is preferred., • Familiarity with general labor tasks in a production or warehouse setting., • Experience using pallet jacks and automated shrink wrap machines is a plus., • Comfort working with mechanical components and tools in an assembly environment., • Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as assigned., • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team. Work Environment The role is based in a clean, organized production facility focused on assembling heavy-duty cases and mid-size flashlights. You will work on an assembly line using hand tools, power tools such as small drills, and equipment including rivet machines, pallet jacks, and automated shrink wrap machines. The position involves lifting items typically between 7 and 35 pounds and occasionally up to approximately 40 pounds. Multiple shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift options. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility vests is provided, while employees supply their own steel-toe boots. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
