Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor 1st shift - Pay up to 48 per hour 6am - 6pm Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in a production environment. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting and repair work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities • Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical documentation, and work orders to plan and perform required maintenance and service activities., • Perform routine calibration and preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability., • Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair on production machines, including identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions., • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment such as electric motors, control boxes, welders, and PLCs., • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, including both electrical and mechanical components, to prevent and resolve bottlenecks in production flow., • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electric, and hydraulic motors, as well as associated electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems., • Supervise maintenance activities, providing direction and support to maintenance staff to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standards., • Identify and locate bottlenecks in production equipment and systems, and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce downtime., • Handle the training of maintenance personnel, sharing technical knowledge and best practices in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance., • Ensure that all maintenance work follows established safety procedures, equipment guidelines, and regulatory requirements., • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervision experience in an industrial or production environment., • Strong hands-on experience with conveyor systems, including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair., • Experience working with mixers, formers, and grinders in a production setting., • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including working with 3-phase power and electric motors., • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams., • Practical experience with PLC troubleshooting, including Allen-Bradley systems., • Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic components and motors., • Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems and their maintenance and repair., • Demonstrated ability to identify and locate bottlenecks in equipment and processes., • Proven supervision and leadership skills in a maintenance environment, including task assignment and oversight., • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting control boxes, welders, and other industrial electrical equipment., • Ability to train and mentor maintenance staff on equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, and safety practices., • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues., • Effective communication skills to coordinate with production and other departments regarding maintenance needs and priorities., • Organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and work orders simultaneously. Work Environment This role operates in an industrial production facility with a variety of equipment, including conveyor systems, mixers, formers, grinders, electric motors, control boxes, welders, PLC-controlled machinery, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Work involves both electrical and mechanical tasks, including 3-phase electrical work and detailed troubleshooting using schematics and technical documentation. The position typically requires being on the production floor, working around operating machinery, and using standard maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment. Hours may align with production schedules and can include responding to urgent maintenance needs to minimize downtime. Appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety while working around industrial equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest Park, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
