Job Description Job Title: Commercial / Industrial Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial/Industrial Electrician to join a dedicated electrical team. In this role, you install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, with a strong focus on running electrical wiring and bending and installing conduit systems. You work with air conditioning and refrigeration wiring, follow strict safety standards, and use a variety of tools and test equipment to complete projects efficiently and accurately on active job sites. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities., • Run electrical wiring and install, bend, and support conduit systems, including rigid conduit., • Install electrical panels, breakers, and lighting systems according to specifications and codes., • Pull wire, terminate conductors, and perform outlet and device wiring., • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to plan and execute installations., • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in commercial and industrial environments., • Provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units as required., • Use power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders safely and effectively., • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures., • Collaborate with a small crew of 2–4 team members to complete projects on time., • Work both indoors and outdoors as needed, adapting to weather-dependent conditions., • Maintain a clean, organized work area and care for tools and equipment. Essential Skills • Proven experience as a commercial and/or industrial electrician., • Strong ability to run conduit and pull wire in commercial and industrial settings., • Proficiency in bending conduit, including rigid conduit, using manual and powered benders., • Hands-on experience installing electrical panels, breakers, and lighting systems., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics., • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose electrical issues., • Competence in outlet wiring and device installation., • Comfort working with 480V electrical systems., • Ability to use power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders safely., • Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and applicable codes., • Capability to work efficiently on active job sites in a commercial/industrial environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience wiring air conditioning and refrigeration units., • Background in construction-related electrical work., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship., • Ability to collaborate effectively within small teams of 2–4 people., • Reliable work ethic with flexibility to work overtime when needed. You work as part of a small crew of 2–4 people on each project within a blue-collar electrical contracting environment that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and mutual respect. You regularly use power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders while working on active job sites, and you are expected to follow standard job-site attire appropriate for commercial and industrial electrical work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Tonawanda, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
