Job Description Genesis Preschool is seeking a dedicated, qualified, teacher, who will create and maintain a loving, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 3-5. The successful candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, parents, and children while maintaining a quality Christian Preschool curriculum. Expectation: Lead preschool teacher is responsible for the early education of children in their care, including developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children ages 3-5. Ensuring the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs. Responsibilities: ● Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and lessons which coincide with the NYS standards for preschool education ● Curate programs and activities that employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, tactile, cognitive, etc.) to teach children, understanding that not all children learn at the same rate or manner as one another ● Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem ● Positive reinforcement for behavior modification, teach problem solving skills ● Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times ● Provide effective communication and partnership with parents through conversations, monthly newsletters, Remind app, progress reports, etc. to provide the best care and education for their children ● Create and maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children ● Supervise teacher aides in the classroom and ensure they are following program policy, expectations and direct them of their duties that need to be carried out throughout the day, while maintaining a professional team Genesis Preschool is seeking a dedicated, qualified, teacher, who will create and maintain a loving, nurturing, and educational environment for children ages 3-5.
