Job DescriptionPosition: Assistant Manager – U.S. Customs Brokerage Days: Monday–Friday Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually Workplace Type: In-office; hybrid schedule may be available after training Overview The Assistant Manager supports the Manager in maintaining an efficient and cost-effective U.S. Customs brokerage operation. This role is responsible for developing and implementing administrative systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and training staff to achieve high levels of accuracy, productivity, and service quality. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality service for all clients., • Document processes and leverage training programs to maintain best practices across the team., • Conduct regular evaluations of operational results and staff performance., • Review and validate import documentation for compliance with CBP and other regulatory agencies, including Powers of Attorney, USMCA Certificates of Origin, and other routine import documents., • Stay informed on regulatory changes affecting the client base and communicate updates as needed., • Prepare and submit documentation to U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) while maintaining required record-keeping standards., • Assist with classification, valuation, harmonized tariff research, binding rulings, duty rates, AD/CVD scope, and other PGA import requirements., • Oversee timely and accurate processing of ABI statements and management of Continuous Surety Bonds., • Perform post-entry work, including 520(d) and 514 protests, Post Summary Corrections, and administrative refunds., • Complete performance reviews for assigned staff and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
