Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, documenting, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role supports warehouse and production operations by ensuring all orders are properly packed, labeled, staged, photographed, and shipped according to company procedures and carrier requirements. Responsibilities • Take photos of shipments, crates, pallets, or packaging for quality and customer records., • Prepare outgoing shipments by gathering, staging, and verifying materials., • Pack materials safely using proper packaging materials and methods to prevent damage., • Ensure all shipping details are accurately recorded., • Coordinate daily pickups with carriers., • Create and print shipping labels, packing slips, and export documents as needed., • Record all shipment data into the inventory system., • Maintain accurate shipping logs and documentation files., • Verify that all products leaving the facility match customer specifications., • Inspect crates, pallets, and packaging for structural integrity before shipment., • Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials., • Communicate shipment status, delays, or documentation needs, • Provide tracking numbers and shipping confirmations to internal teams and customers as needed., • Coordinate with carriers regarding special delivery requirements., • Assist with loading trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment., • Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards., • High school diploma or GED required, • 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred., • Basic computer skills; prior experience with inventory systems a plus., • Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams, • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment., • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment., • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks, • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours), • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently, • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required, • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, • Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment, • Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects, • Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.) Manufacturing floor with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp materials, and moderate to loud noise. May be exposed to hot or cold environments depending on season. Work schedule may include overtime, weekend shifts, or on-call schedules as needed.
