Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. We specialize in programs for children ages 2 through 9 years old and are dedicated to providing high-quality, foundational soccer training that prepares children for a lifetime of soccer. We are looking for caring and engaging coaches who can work a minimum of once per week and can commit to at least 8 weeks of the same day/time. We have opportunities every day of the week between our daycare programs, after-school programs, and public park programs. Soccer Shots programs are offered during select weeks of the year; thus, employment is seasonal. All employment is at-will. MUST RESIDE IN Colorado Springs CO! This is not a remote position. You will be driving to locations, so it is partly remote, while in your car. Though we continue to grow, we are still a family business at heart. We aim to develop each of our coaches in areas including leadership, early childhood education, and sports management. Sessions last from 30 to 60-minutes in length., • Flexible hours include opportunities to coach sessions in the morning, afternoons, or weekends. 5-15 per sessions a week, with opportunities to become more full time!, • Fun, engaging, and creative culture within a growing business.Requirements, • Must love impacting children and the game of soccer., • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license., • Experience working with young children ages 2-9 is REQUIRED, • Must be at least 18 years of age., • Soccer playing or coaching background (preferred)Responsibilities It is a coach's responsibility to manage and direct all duties related to the operation of a Soccer Shots session, including, but not limited to, the following: Preparation • Attends coaches meeting at beginning of season., • Reviews online curriculum (prepared for you ahead of time, and aligned with Colorado state early education standards)., • Maintains equipment in proper condition and arrives on time to set-up field for session.Coaching, • Ensures the safety and well-being of every child., • For childcare sites, gathers children from classroom and returns after session (note: for public location, no pick-up/drop-off required)., • Follows proper on-site protocol for each location, as prepared and provided by Soccer Shots supervisor., • Conducts fun and positive 30 to 45-minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum., • High energy, and reliable!Communication/Administration, • Communicates in a timely fashion with supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information., • Completes online attendance sheet for each session., • Submits time sheet per payroll policy., • Returns equipment and leftover supplies to supervisor upon completion of each season.Soccer Shots coaches are:, • Safety-conscious: the top priority is the safety of children under their care., • Caring: engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation., • Organized: plan ahead and conduct each session according to the provided curriculum., • Responsible: commit to doing what is expected of them as an outstanding coach and "face" of Soccer Shots., • Energetic: bring Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and positive atmosphere for each child.We also love referrals!
