Role summary: The Fire Sales Specialist is responsible for increasing new business sales within a protected sales territory. In this role, you will develop new business leads through prospecting and cold calling within your assigned zip codes, while presenting the Thompson Safety value proposition to potential customers. In this role, you'll: • Generate new business opportunities through phone blocking, cold calling and following up on leads from various lead generation tools., • Lead the sales process from initial proposal generation through closing the sale and transitioning the work to the service technicians., • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology to document activity and track results., • High School Diploma or GED., • Experience in outside sales, blue collar and/or industrial sales environments., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Adequate skills with Microsoft products like Outlook/Email, Teams, Excel., • A four-year college degree., • 2+ years B2B sales experience., • Basic understanding of Fire & Life Safety standards., • Proven skills to prospect new business, close new business, and build rapport with decision makers., • Motivation to contact new prospects via phone or in-person with the end goal of gaining their business., • Base pay + monthly commission + quarterly bonuses (new hire training pay up to $6,000), • Car/cell phone stipend ($10,500/year, paid monthly), • Excellent medical, dental, vision coverage with employer contributions, • 401(k) program with employer match each pay period and 100% vesting!, • Paid Time-Off, Paid Holidays, Paid Parental Leave We are an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
