Job DescriptionOur estimators are an integral part of the Allied Core. The Allied Core is a group of teams that make up the heart of our organization. It includes engineering, legal, loss draft, accounting, marketing, and client success departments – all contributing their deep skills and knowledge to the claims handling process, working to protect, guide, and serve our public adjusters and our clients. Allied’s estimators are result-oriented self-starters with positive attitudes. They are problem solvers who can balance multiple projects and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They are an integral part of the Allied’s claim handling process, and as such, need to be able to handle a rapid paced environment, and model behaviors that reflect Allied’s core values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a summary of the essential functions. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. • Accurately measure and sketch losses in a timely manner in line with Allied’s quality standards., • Assist an assigned Executive PA in inspecting, scoping, and estimating losses. as needed., • Ensure the assigned Executive PA’s estimates are in line with Allied’s quality standards., • Photo-document losses in detail with DSLR, 360, and Infrared cameras, as well as aerial drones., • Complete Matterport and Docusketch imagery and use the third-party reports in Xactimate estimates., • Create visual aids for Allied presentations and claim submissions, as needed by the Executive PA., • Be a collaborative team member that contributes to the success of others., • Have a clean driving record and reliable form of transportation., • Properly document the claim files pursuant to Allied’s Standard Operating Procedures., • Order expert vendor reports for PAs., • Extract and ship samples to ITEL for processing. Other:, • Compare Allied estimates with that of carriers and report discrepancies to PAs., • Maintain Allied’s high-level service standards and reporting procedures., • Participate in inspections and aid PAs in controlling a property., • Participate in networking and marketing events representing Allied, as required., • Maintain a regular course of self-improvement to satisfy licensing, continued education requirements, and increase professional internal “Allied” and industry related knowledge., • Perform moisture mapping and/or moisture testing., • 1-3 years’ experience with a general understanding of building components while continuously acquiring knowledge for professional development., • Proficient in Xactimate, • Curiosity driven with a focus on identifying truth through investigating and critical thinking., • Comfortable working in a project management environment with strict deadlines., • Self-managing, self-motivated, and driven by performance metrics., • Excellent written, verbal and special communication skills., • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite., • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills., • Effectively use a variety of hand tools, such as a tape measure, laser, or crowbar., • Must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally.
