Job DescriptionDescription:Description Licensed Vocational Nurse – Full Time, Non-exempt, at Cedar House Life Change Center Cedar House Life Change Center (CHLCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation 125-bed CARF Accredited treatment facility awarded as a Top Workplace in the Inland Empire for 2021 and 2022. We seek a Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) to join our team to continue providing high-quality Substance Abuse Treatment. The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00 / Hour. We offer the following benefits: • Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance, • 403b Retirement Plan Company matched at $1: $1 up to 6% of Annual Salary, • Employee Assistance Plan, • Vacation 2 weeks accrued per year initially, then incrementally more with longevity., • Sick Leave 48 hours for the first year, and are provided at the beginning of each new year thereafter What You Will Do: DUTY STATEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES Job Functions • Reviews and signs off on Health Questionnaires in our EHR., • Review all incoming medications and ensure clients have required clearances., • Ensures that PPD/TB testing for all clients is done in a timely manner and records are maintained., • Assists the physician or physician’s assistant when they are conducting physical exams., • Will do rounds and provide nursing supervision in Withdrawal Management and document in the client record., • Shall instruct the staff in nursing/medical conditions necessary to control a medical/psychiatric emergency., • Ensure all withdrawal management clients are checked in the CURES database and upload the documents into our EHR., • Respond to all MAT requests, concerns, and questions., • Schedule all MAT clients recurring and new requests. (Riverside will be every two weeks and San Bernardino will be once a month), • Contact outpatient client for scheduling MAT services., • Perform any duties assigned by the physician or PA., • Provide quality service to clients as required by Cedar House Life Change Center, State, and County Requirements., • Maintain timely and reliable attendance., • Perform life-saving measures when needed to protect the lives of Cedar House clients and employees., • And such other duties and/or responsibilities as are assigned. Requirements: What You Will Bring: QUALIFICATIONS Experience: • Will have at least two years of experience working with chemically dependent adults., • Maintain LVN or RN license, • Completed twelve years of education or have a GED., • Complete continuing education and trainings as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates., • Understand the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and its recovery., • Have a good understanding of nursing functions and operations related to additions., • Have leadership capabilities., • Understand state, county, and CARF requirements related to the medical department., • Ability to work with diverse groups of people., • Outstanding interpersonal skills maintaining productive working relationships with staff., • Resourcefulness, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills., • Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality., • Champions the mission, culture, and objectives of the organization., • Demonstrates value and respect for all employees., • High energy and enthusiasm., • Performs effectively as a team player., • Values the ideas and opinions of others and routinely collects their input as part of the decision-making process. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. They will also need to move around inside the office occasionally to access filing cabinets, office machinery, medical supplies, etc. The employee must be capable of operating a computer and other productivity machinery. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain files in file cabinets and necessary medical supplies. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 40 pounds (individually) for various reasons. Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
