Job Description J. Rieger & Co. is seeking talented and enthusiastic Hosts to join our Hospitality team. We’re asking for flexible evening availability that includes evenings and weekends. Responsibilities: • Greet all guests warmly, • Control flow of service from the host stand, • Communicate guest needs with service team, • Seek meaningful connection with guests, • Commitment to building knowledge of all things food and beverage, • Help set, maintain and clean the dining room during service, • Operate OpenTable to guide guest experience J. Rieger & Co. was founded in 1887 in Kansas City’s West Bottoms Livestock Exchange district. The brand offered over 100 alcoholic products and took pride in maintaining a quarter of a million unique customers by offering mail-order delivery services. In 1919, Prohibition was enacted by the federal government and wasn’t reversed until 1933. J. Rieger & Co. was a casualty at the time, but was not destined to be lost forever. In 2014, we revived Kansas City’s historic and iconic distillery, opening a visitor experience for the first time in July of 2019 in historic Electric Park. Our distillery offers daily tours, tastings, three distinct bar spaces serving cocktails, food, beer and wine, as well as space for private events. Our service is professional, imbued with sincere hospitality and defined by our desire to always build relationships. This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous, • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Flexible availability including evenings and weekends. Saturday's are a must. 15 - 20 hours per week.
