The work of this team directly impacts user confidence, financial health, and overall platform integrity—making it a critical part of our growth. Our Trust & Safety & Fraud teams are the first line of defense for our users, often serving as the first point of contact when someone experiences sensitive or potentially harmful issues on the platform. This team handles a wide range of cases, from content-related issues such as racism, harassment, nudity, or violent language, to commerce-related concerns including fraud, chargebacks, account takeovers, and payment disputes. Role Overview As a Fraud & Trust/Safety Agent, you’ll be a key player in maintaining the safety and integrity of our platform. You’ll lead investigations into suspicious activity, enforce community standards, and help prevent fraud and abuse. This role is ideal for professionals seeking to gain experience in fraud detection, trust & safety, content moderation, or investigations, and who are ready to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities • Review reports and emails submitted by the community via chat and email, investigating potential violations of Trust & Safety policies, • Analyze information quickly to determine appropriate actions on buyer or seller accounts, • Communicate investigation outcomes clearly and empathetically to ensure users feel supported and heard, • Conduct detailed investigations into suspicious transactions, user behavior, and content violations, • Monitor fraud and risk queues to identify patterns and mitigate financial and reputational threats, • Respond to user inquiries related to fraud, trust, and safety with empathy and professionalism, • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve complex cases and enforce platform policies, • Analyze trends and data to recommend improvements to fraud prevention and community safety strategies, • Maintain high-quality work while meeting SLAs and managing a dynamic case backlog, • Eager to launch a career in a fast-paced, innovative environment, • Weekend and holiday availability required, • Bachelor’s degree or college experience preferred, • Interest in fraud operations, trust & safety, customer service, or fulfillment, • Strong customer-first mentality and proactive problem-solving skills, • Experience with social media, marketplace platforms, parcel delivery, or payment processors, • Familiarity with tools like Zendesk, Kustomer, or Intercom, • Interest in ecommerce and marketplace operations, • Knowledge of collectibles is a plus, • Agents are expected to work a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule within the following operational hours, including holidays., • Generous holiday and time off policy., • Health insurance options (medical, dental, vision)., • Work-from-home support and home office setup allowance., • Monthly allowances for cell phone, internet, wellness, and platform usage., • Annual childcare allowance and lifetime family planning benefit., • Retirement plans (401k with employer match up to 4% of base salary)., • Paid parental leave (16 weeks) and gradual return to work.
