Job Description Job Category: Full Time/ Direct Hire Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000/Base + Benefits and Performance Bonus opportunity BBSI has partnered with a well-established Facilities Maintenance company located in the San Gabriel Valley that provides full-service maintenance for commercial properties across Southern California. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support a growing organization by bringing structure, consistency, and accountability to HR operations. This hands-on role will support employee relations, policy enforcement, and leadership guidance while helping strengthen company culture and employee engagement. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering closely with leadership. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Employee Support • Serve as a trusted HR resource for leadership and employees across the organization, • Maintain and enforce company policies, procedures, and HR best practices, • Support employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, coaching, and conflict resolution, • Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with company values Workers’ Compensation & Risk Management • Manage and process workers’ compensation claims from initial report through resolution, • Coordinate with insurance carriers, supervisors, and employees to ensure proper documentation and follow-up, • Track incidents and assist leadership with safety awareness and compliance efforts Payroll & Administrative Support • Provide support for payroll processing including timecard review, adjustments, and coordination with payroll providers, • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, • Responsible for processing expenses reports for leadership and maintaining detailed and accurate records of reimbursement Policy Enforcement & Organizational Structure • Help strengthen internal processes and ensure consistent application of company policies, • Support leadership with performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee accountability, • Maintain organized HR records and documentation standards Culture & Leadership Support • Partner with management to foster a positive and respectful work environment, • Support leadership initiatives focused on employee engagement, development, and retention, • Provide guidance to managers on effective employee communication and conflict resolution Qualifications • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably within construction or service-based industries, • Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, and HR policy enforcement, • Experience managing workers’ compensation claims and workplace incidents, • Knowledge of payroll processes, benefits, and HR administration, • Must be knowledgeable in Intuit accounting software., • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, • Demonstrates professionalism and strong business acumen in daily operations., • Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership, • Bilingual Spanish required Core Competencies • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence workplace culture, • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality, • Excellent organizational and time management skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Clear and confident communicator across all levels of the organization Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision, • 401k, • Holiday, • Sick pay, • Vacation, • Performance Bonus opportunity, • Growth Opportunities!
