Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 03/24/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel, • Department: Med Surg ICU RN, • Interview: With Unit Manager, • Beds: 34, • Patient Population: Adults & Peds (15+ years), • ICU: 1:1–2, • PCU: 1:4–5, • Med Surg: 1:5–6, • Nurse Aides: 1:18, • Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, • Sepsis, Stroke, • Cardiogenic shock (Impella, Balloon pump – experience not required), • Renal failure (CRRT – experience not required), • Neuro surgery (Thrombectomy program – experience not required), • GI bleeds, Psych/OD, • Cancer surgeries (Esophagectomy, internal chemo), • General surgery, • CVP, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring (training available), • Zoll Thermoguard (hypothermia protocol), • Bell Mont rapid transfuser, • Draeger heart monitoring (centralized telemetry), • RNs must interpret own strips (no tele techs), • RT equipment: Nasal cannula to vents (troubleshooting required), • Vasopressors, • Paralytics, • Narcotics, • Sedation, • Antiarrhythmics, • BLS, • ACLS, • NIHSS, • 2 unit-specific orientation shifts, • Open-book exam on Friday, • Must score 90% to pass (Pass/Fail), • Failure = contract termination, • Artificial nails prohibited (removal required), • Day: 0630–1830, • Night: 1830–0630, • Every other weekend, • 2 out of 3 major holidays, • Manager makes schedule (no self-scheduling), • Must float to all inpatient units (except Maternity/NICU), • Navy Blue scrubs, • Fast-paced tertiary hospital, • High acuity & volume flex, • Collaborative team environment, • Works with attendings, fellows, residents, • Success traits: Critical thinking, teamwork, positive attitude, willingness to ask questions With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
