Assisting in diagnosis: * • Operating equipment like X-rays, MRIs, or ultrasound machines (radiology technicians, sonographers)., • Laboratory work: Performing blood tests, urine tests, or other lab work (lab technicians)., • Physical therapy: Assisting in the development and execution of physical therapy treatments (physical therapy assistants). Direct patient care: * • Assisting with patient mobility, bathing, feeding, or monitoring vital signs (patient care technicians, certified nursing assistants)., • Education and counseling: Providing patient education on treatments, conditions, and medications (health educators, dietitians)., • Rehabilitation support: Assisting patients in rehabilitative activities to improve mobility and function (occupational therapy assistants). Maintaining patient records: * • Ensuring that accurate medical documentation is up to date (medical record technicians)., • Scheduling and coordination: Arranging appointments, tests, or procedures for patients (medical office assistants). Billing and coding: * • Handling insurance claims and medical billing using appropriate coding systems (medical billers and coders)., • Operating specialized equipment: Such as in radiology, sonography, respiratory therapy, or anesthesiology. Sterilizing instruments: * • Ensuring that all medical instruments and environments are sterile (surgical technologists). Respiratory therapists: * • Provide breathing treatments and manage ventilators. Pharmacy technicians: * • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing information to patients. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for dispensing prescriptions within the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician works closely with the Senior Pharmacy Technician to process, fill and file prescriptions. This role includes typing, billing, counting prescriptions, and stocking prescription drugs. As part of the Essential Function for this role, the Pharmacy Technician: • Retrieves medication from shelf, counts medication, and labels container under direct supervision of a pharmacist, • Enters medication information and directions on patient profile into computerized database, • Receives written prescriptions from patients or retrieves electronic prescriptions for patients and verifies that the information on the prescription is complete, • Answers telephone and takes requests for prescription refills from the patient, • Performs cashier functions for payments received from patients for prescriptions or other products/services, • Hands out prepared prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist Qualified Candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of professional experience as a retail Pharmacy Technician preferred; candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally, demonstrate familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word), and must have ability to multitask; excellent customer service skills required; sensitivity to cultural diversity, HIV/AIDS and lifestyle and addiction issues is essential; must be able to work until 7:00pm on Tuesdays.
