Job DescriptionJob Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description This role involves performing various duties related to the creation and routing of pharmacy orders through the receipt, review, and verification of members' or patients' prescriptions. The position requires preparing and scanning documents, verifying member or patient data, and submitting prescription orders in the computer system. The role may also involve contacting members, patients, or providers to validate data, request payment information, and establish the priority of order or delivery details. As permitted by state regulation, the position involves interpreting providers' prescriptions, creating orders, and assessing, inputting, and retrieving prescription, medical, lab, and reimbursement information from the computer system. Responsibilities • Create and route pharmacy orders by reviewing and verifying prescriptions., • Prepare and scan documents and verify member or patient data., • Submit prescription orders in the computer system., • Contact members, patients, or providers to validate data and request payment information., • Establish priority of order or delivery details., • Interpret providers' prescriptions and create orders as permitted by state regulation., • Assess, input, and retrieve prescription, medical, lab, and reimbursement information from the computer system.Essential Skills, • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)., • Must be nationally certified and licensed in North Carolina., • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician., • Ability to work second shift hours.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or healthcare., • Experience with prior authorization., • Pharmacy Technician certification.Work Environment This is a fulfillment role that requires standing for at least an 8-hour shift, involving a good amount of walking, lifting, and physical activity. The position requires working Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST, with occasional Saturday shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.46/hr.
