Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Reach Truck Operator Job Description This role supports daily warehouse and distribution operations by safely operating a Crown reach truck, handling materials, and using warehouse systems to move, stage, and track inventory. You will work in a fast-paced environment, support shipping and receiving activities, and contribute to accurate inventory control while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Responsibilities • Operate a Crown reach truck daily to move, stage, and retrieve materials from high racking locations., • Use RF scanners and warehouse computer systems to pull, track, and confirm orders., • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and verifying materials., • Support inventory control functions such as cycle counting and maintaining FIFO (first in, first out) processes., • Transport materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse while following all safety procedures., • Accurately follow work orders, pick lists, and written instructions to complete tasks on time., • Perform routine equipment inspections on the reach truck and promptly report any mechanical issues., • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards., • Cross-train and assist in other warehouse functions, including picker/packer and general material handling, as needed., • Lift and pull materials from high racking locations while using proper techniques and equipment.Essential Skills, • Recent, hands-on Crown reach truck experience, with the ability to pass an onsite equipment test., • Proven experience operating a stand-up reach truck and/or stock picker in a warehouse environment., • Demonstrated reach truck experience moving materials to and from high racking locations., • Comfort working at heights and safely lifting and pulling materials from high storage areas., • Experience with RF scanners for order pulling, tracking, and inventory updates., • Basic to intermediate computer skills, including use of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order pulling and receiving., • Experience with picker/packer tasks and material handling in a distribution or warehouse setting., • Familiarity with FIFO (first in, first out) processes and cycle counting for inventory accuracy., • Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and manage tasks with minimal supervision., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe equipment operation and material handling.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions in a warehouse or distribution center., • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and cross-functional tasks., • Willingness to cross-train in multiple warehouse functions, including picking, packing, and general material handling., • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area., • Reliable work ethic and consistent attendance to support shift-based warehouse operations.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse and distribution facility that operates in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will primarily operate a Crown reach truck and may also use stand-up reach trucks, stock pickers, RF scanners, and warehouse computer systems. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime shift. The work involves frequent movement throughout the warehouse, working at heights on high racking, and handling materials while following established safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
