Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned and driven Production Manager to lead our Optical Assembly operations and support broader manufacturing initiatives across the company. This role demands a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams, optimizing production workflows, and delivering exceptional results. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for aligning daily operations with strategic business goals, ensuring consistent quality and on-time delivery, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our production capabilities, driving operational excellence, and supporting long-term growth. You Will: • Lead daily operations of the Optical Assembly department, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget., • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet delivery, cost, and quality targets., • Maintain a clean, organized, and showcase-ready production environment for internal and external stakeholders., • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute long-term manufacturing strategies that align with company goals., • Champion a culture of safety, equity, and continuous improvement across all production areas., • Identify and pursue growth opportunities through customer alignment, market analysis, and technology trends., • Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, and capital investment planning., • Ensure optimal utilization of space, utilities, and resources in collaboration with Facilities and Finance teams., • Recruit, train, and retain top-tier assembly and test personnel., • Foster a high-performance culture through clear expectations, coaching, and performance management., • Ensure compliance with HR policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures. You Have: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Optics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (master’s preferred), • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment, ideally with a focus on optical assembly and test., • Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, driving accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement., • Demonstrated success in managing complex production workflows, balancing quality, cost, and delivery in a fast-paced setting., • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies., • Experience with capacity planning, resource allocation, and capital investment strategy., • Skilled in data-driven decision-making, using metrics to guide performance and identify opportunities., • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence at all levels., • Adept at navigating change, solving problems under pressure, and adapting to evolving customer and market demands., • Commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
