Job DescriptionSales Support Position Summary The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting sales operations through accurate forecasting, customer portal setup, data analytics, and administrative support. This position combines analytical expertise with organizational efficiency to help optimize inventory management, forecast accuracy, and cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the CPG retail landscape, exceptional Excel and reporting skills, and a proactive mindset to drive sales and operational success. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Forecasting Support • Collaborate with sales staff to gather, validate, and consolidate product forecasts., • Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to support demand planning and replenishment., • Monitor customer chargebacks and deductions; report on trends and help minimize impact., • Develop and maintain sales, forecast, and product performance dashboards using advanced Excel tools and analytics software.Customer Portal & Account Setup, • Set up and maintain customer portals to ensure seamless access and integration for sales activities., • Support onboarding and setup of new customer accounts, ensuring all required data, forms, and compliance documentation are completed accurately.Operational & Financial Analysis, • Provide data-driven insights to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance sales performance., • Partner with operations and finance teams to reconcile forecasts with inventory and financial targets., • Evaluate the financial impact of promotional activities and pricing strategies.Reporting & Data Management, • Build and distribute regular KPI, sales, and inventory performance reports., • Maintain clean, accurate data across internal systems to support informed decision-making., • Leverage ERP and BI tools for reporting automation and improved data visibility.Administrative & Sales Team Support, • Assist sales staff with administrative tasks such as order tracking, documentation, meeting preparation, and follow-ups., • Serve as a liaison between sales, operations, finance, and logistics teams to improve communication and workflow efficiency., • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred., • 3–5 years of experience in sales operations, forecasting, or analytics within a CPG or retail environment., • Strong analytical and financial acumen with a clear understanding of inventory and demand dynamics., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling); experience with ERP systems and BI tools strongly preferred., • Familiarity with customer portals and retail compliance systems., • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail., • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
