The Opportunity As a dedicated Business Insurance Agent - Mid-level, you will work in an inbound sales environment advising business owners on insurance and risk management, using a full suite of Commercial Insurance Products to address each member and/or non-member’s unique risk profile. What you'll do: * Utilizes a consultative approach to determine customer needs, build rapport, and provide solutions (composed of a la cart combinations of various products and services) based on current products and service offerings. * Builds and maintains relationships between members and nonmembers and insurance carriers, exercising technical knowledge effectively and communicating solutions. * Utilizes understanding of compliance and insurance standards and Agency Management Systems to limit agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through proper documentation. * Classifies member’s and/or non-members business and provide accurate risk management and risk mitigation solutions while leveraging knowledge of B2B sales cycles for success. * Facilitates account reviews, by leveraging the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members’ and nonmembers’ risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk. * Researches industry trends and evolving regulatory environment (state and national), improving understanding of important technical/financial issues. * Utilizes advanced knowledge of Agency Management Systems/Customer Relations Management (CRM) & multiple carrier Platforms to operate comfortably at an advanced level to appropriately select product and carrier offerings. * Leverages advanced knowledge of Carrier guidelines and processes to partner and negotiate with underwriters on endorsements, renewal questions, and remarkets for underwriting determination (approval or declination). * Leverages advanced understanding of calculating Insurance to Value (ITV) on a wide range of property types and structures including geographic differences and capture custom or unique features within the properties and provide appropriate details to determine accurate replacement values. * Provides select account service for member’s and nonmember’s including policy changes, certificates, endorsements, renewals, non-renewals and remarkets, cancellations, reinstatements, and record updates within agency systems. * Facilitates initial acquisition of Affluent members, nonmembers, and business owners by gaining an understanding of the members and nonmembers’ risk profile by providing a concierge, white glove, single point of contact service level for members and nonmembers with complex accounts and unique needs. * May work with underwriters on complex accounts across management lines and Excess and Surplus for renewals, endorsements, and remarketing. * Facilitates multi-tiered account reviews, by leveraging the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members’ and nonmembers risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk. * Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. What you have: * High School Diploma OR General Equivalency Diploma. * 2 years of insurance sales and service experience to include 1 year of experience working in a High Value insurance agency, Commercial Insurance agency or broker setting. * Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days. * High Net Worth/Private Client Experience and ability to handle sensitive information. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. MD/DO - Primary Care Physician - Corrections Made famous by Johnny Cash The Facility - Folsom State Prison Folsom State Prison is located in Represa California and is one of the oldest correctional facilities in the state. Originally opened in the 1880's as one of the first maximum-security institutions, today the facility houses minimum and medium-security inmates. Until recently, Folsom only housed male offenders, now it has begun housing women in a separate stand-alone facility People may recognize this prison as the subject of a Johnny Cash song entitled "Folsom Prison Blues ". This facility has also housed some of the most infamous inmates including, Suge Knight, Rick James, and Charles Manson. This facility is responsible for manufacturing the vast majority of California License plates. This institution has also been an on site filming location for several movies. Folsom Prison has a rich history and dates back to the late 1800's, it was also the first correctional facility ever to have electricity. Physician's Role in Correctional Medicine Physicians have a complicated role in correctional health care. It is "primary care" at a high and extensive level. Physicians in corrections have a captive audience of patients, literally and figuratively, that need a wide variety of medical care. Incarcerated individuals enter and stay in your practice with every possible medical condition. Many of these patients may have had little or no prior medical, dental or mental health care, other than emergency room visits. The correctional physician must be prepared for this population. Many of these patients may have current or past substance abuse issues. Many of these patients may have poor coping skills and even a mind-set to defy authority. It goes without saying that the correctional doctor has a tremendous role in the provision of medical care. However, that role often goes far beyond seeing patients and giving care. Not only must the correctional physician manage health care, they may also have a significant administrative role in direct health care, in the system of health care, and in health care policy, procedures, and standards. A physician working in corrections must be aware of and balance interests of good solid medical practice, medical board requirements, court findings, the safety and security of the facility, the individuals in the facility, and the community, all while working in an environment not specifically created for the purpose of health care. A physician may have to take on multiple roles beyond direct one-on-one patient care while working in a correctional facility. Although many of these roles have similar practice experiences outside of corrections they can become co-occurring roles for a physician in corrections. REQUIREMENTS (duties include but are not limited to) Under the direction of the Institution/Facility CEO/CME or designee, the Temporary/Relief Primary Care Physician shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Primary Care Physician services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. This role provides expert-level guidance, technical mentorship, and scientific oversight related to the design, configuration, optimization, and evaluation of health information systems supporting behavioral health, public health, and government-sector programs. The LCIS applies deep expertise in clinical informatics, behavioral health informatics, public health, and/or psychology with quantitative specialization to ensure health IT systems, including Electronic Health Care (EHR) applications such as SmartCare, Epic, and related platforms, support regulatory compliance, interoperability, and data-driven decision-making. Additional Information: Located in Sacramento, California, Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SBHH) is a 117-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital. The hospital has six inpatient units ranging in size from 19 to 20 beds each. Two of the units (39 beds) are for general adult care. The other four units are for competency restoration. Those four units are for individuals who were charged with a crime who were deemed incompetent to stand trial (IST) and are here for competency restoration. These patients are referred from facilities across the state, and hospitalized on a court-ordered commitment to be restored to competency. Unique aspects of the IST units include: • For the overwhelming majority of these forensic patients, their commitment includes an Involuntary Medication Order (IMO) which allows for the involuntary use of psychotropic medications., • 24/7 availability of a private security team who are present on each of the IST units, who assure the safety of the staff and patients. Security is tasked with having eyes on staff members, including, physicians, in each of their encounters with patients., • A heavily emphasized treatment team approach to the acute stabilization of underlying psychiatric issues, followed by a longer-term competency restoration process. Psychiatrists are not solely relied upon for, nor do they need to have any expertise in, the tasks of restoring patients to competency. The average length of stay for these patients also allows for longer term care of particularly difficult patients without any of the typical insurance-driven pressures to discharge them., • The opportunity to consult with the country’s foremost Psychopharmacology experts in the treatment of the severely mentally ill should there arise any particularly challenging clinical cases and questions., • Despite the forensic population, the availability of an IMO for most patients and the presence of 24/7 security staff have contributed to a much safer, and more structured, working environment than a typical acute inpatient psychiatric unit. The average length of stay for the general adult units is 7 days. For the IST units, it’s 2 to 3 months. The main treatment modalities are: medication management, group therapy, family & individual sessions. Psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and internal medicine physicians comprise the provider group with nurses, therapists, and mental health techs rounding out the patient care service group. Treatment teams meet daily, Monday thru Friday. Each patient is seen a minimum of five days per week, some more often. The psychiatrist attends treatment team meetings along with the nurse and therapist. Verbal de-escalation and physical holds are performed by use of Handle With Care techniques. We do not possess mechanical restraints. We do have a few seclusion rooms for individuals who need that momentary less stimulating space. The medical record is electronic using a system called “Best Care.” Providers do their own physician order entry and electronically transmit discharge prescriptions. The credentialing/privileging process is coordinated through our Medical Staff Office and typically takes a week or so to accomplish. New providers are provided a few hours of administrative and clinical orientation by the Medical Staff Office and by the Medical Director. Psychiatrists will typically cover a unit or two, with or without nurse practitioner assistance (depending on census and vacations) during weekdays and be on call during those weekdays until 8pm at which time on-call moonlighters cover after-hours calls. Psychiatrists are expected to take call one weekend per month. All new patient psychiatric evaluations are done by psychiatrists who then either continue the care for that particular patient or in some cases turn it over to a nurse practitioner. Psychiatrists work in conjunction with the Medical Director to receive their unit-based assignment(s). On a daily basis, the Intake Department assigns new patients to attending psychiatrists. H&Ps are done by internal medicine physicians. Current needs are: · Two full-time board-certified general adult psychiatrists. This is an in-person role Mon-Fri with one weekend of call per month. This role combines technical analytical expertise with project coordination responsibilities to ensure timely delivery and alignment of interoperability initiatives. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the effective design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of Connex to enable secure, standardized information sharing across the behavioral health ecosystem. What you'll do: * Utilizes a consultative approach to determine customer needs, build rapport, and provide solutions (composed of a la cart combinations of various products and services) based on current products and service offerings. * Builds and maintains relationships between members and nonmembers and insurance carriers, exercising technical knowledge effectively and communicating solutions. * Utilizes understanding of compliance and insurance standards and Agency Management Systems to limit agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through proper documentation. * Classifies member’s and/or non-members business and provide accurate risk management and risk mitigation solutions while leveraging knowledge of B2B sales cycles for success. * Facilitates account reviews, by leveraging the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members’ and nonmembers’ risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk. * Researches industry trends and evolving regulatory environment (state and national), improving understanding of important technical/financial issues. * Utilizes advanced knowledge of Agency Management Systems/Customer Relations Management (CRM) & multiple carrier Platforms to operate comfortably at an advanced level to appropriately select product and carrier offerings. * Leverages advanced knowledge of Carrier guidelines and processes to partner and negotiate with underwriters on endorsements, renewal questions, and remarkets for underwriting determination (approval or declination). * Leverages advanced understanding of calculating Insurance to Value (ITV) on a wide range of property types and structures including geographic differences and capture custom or unique features within the properties and provide appropriate details to determine accurate replacement values. * Provides select account service for member’s and nonmember’s including policy changes, certificates, endorsements, renewals, non-renewals and remarkets, cancellations, reinstatements, and record updates within agency systems. * Facilitates initial acquisition of Affluent members, nonmembers, and business owners by gaining an understanding of the members and nonmembers’ risk profile by providing a concierge, white glove, single point of contact service level for members and nonmembers with complex accounts and unique needs. * May work with underwriters on complex accounts across management lines and Excess and Surplus for renewals, endorsements, and remarketing. * Facilitates multi-tiered account reviews, by leveraging the carrier renewal cycle, and understanding the members’ and nonmembers risk profile to provide consultative advice and appropriately address and mitigate the risk. * Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. What you have: * High School Diploma OR General Equivalency Diploma. * 2 years of insurance sales and service experience to include 1 year of experience working in a High Value insurance agency, Commercial Insurance agency or broker setting. * Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for home state and/or ability to obtain home state and multistate license within 90 days. * High Net Worth/Private Client Experience and ability to handle sensitive information. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. What sets you apart: * 4 or more years of Commercial Lines Insurance experience writing new business. (Not including renewals and/or servicing) * 4 or more years working experience quoting and binding directly with the insured. * Experience with Agency Management Systems and/or Salesforce. * Experience working in a Commercial Lines multiple carrier environment. * Experience writing Commercial Lines in multiple states. * Experience working in a call center environment. * Active P&C General Lines License for home state.
