Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Utility Gas Distribution Inspector to provide field leadership and oversight on gas construction projects throughout the NYC market. This role requires inspectors who can confidently operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and unpredictable urban environment, including work on gas distribution systems and LNG facilities. Compensation & Support • Daily per diem, • Mileage and toll reimbursement, • Optional housing available, • Pay rate varies based on experience and OQs, • Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure compliance with specifications, approved work methods, and proper use of tools, equipment, and materials, • Ensure all construction activities meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, • Maintain accurate and detailed field documentation, including daily reports, material usage and locations, and field test records, • Enforce OSHA requirements and ensure all job sites meet or exceed safety and environmental policies, • Verify contractor equipment is used safely and within operational limits, • Understand and implement all Environment, Health, and Safety Plan (E-HASP) requirements, • Support inspection and oversight activities at LNG facilities, as required, • Coordinate professionally with contractors, utilities, inspectors, and stakeholders on a daily basis, • Provide input and support during Quality Assurance field visits, • Maintain a professional appearance and strong on-site presence, • Manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying stages, from active construction through close-outQualifications:, • API 1169 certification required, • Prior experience in excavation, road, or utility construction, • Experience inspecting underground gas distribution systems and/or LNG facilities, • Ability to work effectively in the NYC market, including traffic, permitting constraints, public interaction, and changing field conditions, • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy, • Working knowledge of OSHA and utility safety requirements, • Managerial and leadership capability, with strong communication skills, • Computer literacy and familiarity with field reporting systems, • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceAbout Company, • For all of our team members (Joes): We provide a values-driven, Kingdom-focused culture that puts people first, prioritizing growth and professional development.
