Job Description CDL Driver/Equipment Operator Momentum Environmental provides industrial cleaning, waste management, emergency response and remediation services in the northeastern US and services a repeat blue chip customer base. The CDL Driver/Equipment Operator (Operator) drives or operates vocational, rolling stock equipment as part of field service crews at customer locations. The Operator is often the site leader on specific crews and works closely with operational leadership. The Operator reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for a wide variety of technical, safety and operational responsibilities in support of the safe and profitable execution of environmental, industrial, and waste services. Essential Responsibilities • Plays an active role in the Company’s Health and Safety system including safety planning, toolbox safety talks, near miss reporting and hazard communication, • Safely drives and operates a wide variety of rolling stock and yellow iron equipment including commercial and vocational equipment such as hydro excavation trucks, vacuum trucks, dump trucks, road tractors, roll off trucks, off road vehicles and other equipment., • Provides field leadership, technical expertise and support on field service projects with respect to equipment operation and supports the scope, schedule budget of all assigned projects., • Participates in emergency response engagements by being a part of on call service rotations., • Works directly with Directors, Project Managers and Supervisors to ensure field crews are properly equipped and positioned for success., • Communicates regularly with other operational colleagues on technical and quality control elements of service engagements as well as dynamic schedules., • Supports the logical efforts of the Company while managing company level functions related to labor, internal equipment, rental equipment, specialty materials, and waste processing throughout the company’s service territory. Core Competencies • A CDL B license with tanker endorsement. CDL A and HAZMAT endorsements a plus, • At least 3 years of experience operating hydro excavation units, • At least 5 years of CDL operating experience, • Understanding of OSHA, RCRA, and DOT regulations as they relate to field services., • High emotional intelligence and ability to develop relationships/ trust with team members, • Strong verbal communication skills, • Ability to effectively interact with management, other departments, and vendors., • When working at a customer site or in a field environment, as appropriate, the ability to wear any of the following personal protective equipment (PPE) required:, • Steel toe boots, • Eye protection, • Hearing protection, • Gloves/ Hand protection, • Fire resistant uniform While performing essential duties of this position an individual regularly works in a variety of environments, and is required to see, talk, hear, reach with hands, stand, walk, drive frequently, use a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office equipment. Essential duties require bending, squatting and twisting frequently. The employee will frequently be exposed to dirt, dust and fumes. About the Role The Distribution Lead will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products, ensuring that all tasks meet company standards for accuracy, attention to detail, sanitation, safety, security, and productivity. In addition, this role requires driving a company vehicle within the assigned geographic area, with a strong emphasis on maintaining safety for oneself and others while on the road. This position requires both warehouse and professional driving experience. What You'll Do • Count all products, compare to packing slip/Warehouse Management System (WMS) and check all shipments for damage, quantity, part number accuracy and expiration dates., • Report shortages, damages and mis-shipments (“shipment errors” or “incorrect shipments”) on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary., • Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise in pallet, static, cantilever, yard and wire storage areas/rack., • Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked in WMS. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Bag, tag or mark orders as required., • Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct in WMS. Accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move product into trailers, box/rack trucks, vans, cars or containers., • Maintain all equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion., • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, while complying with OSHA and company standards., • Assist in inventory accuracy and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation. Preform aisle assessments and assignments., • Other duties such as repack or re-box cases per training and storage instructions. Repair and recoup damaged goods as required. Operate shrink-wrap machine.
