Job Description The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site activities of commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in commercial construction, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects. Key Responsibilities: • Project Oversight: Supervise all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordination, and execution of work to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and specifications., • Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and direct subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards., • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules. Monitor progress, address delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track., • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets architectural and engineering plans, building codes, and client expectations. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly., • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training to maintain a safe work environment., • Resource Management: Coordinate delivery and use of materials, equipment, and tools. Monitor inventory and ensure resources are used efficiently to minimize waste., • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other project documentation. Track labor hours, material usage, and change orders., • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, architects, engineers, clients, and inspectors. Provide regular updates on project status and address concerns., • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve on-site challenges, such as unforeseen conditions, conflicts, or delays, while minimizing impact on project timelines and costs., • Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a superintendent or similar role in commercial construction, with a focus on projects such as office buildings, retail centers, or industrial facilities., • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred., • Skills:, • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, methods, and materials., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents., • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills., • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or Bluebeam)., • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands., • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification required; additional certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, LEED, or PMP) are a plus., • Proactive and solution-oriented with a strong sense of accountability., • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality projects., • Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and team members.Company DescriptionRollis Construction specializes in Timeshare, Hotel, and Multifamily Renovations.
