Director of Aircraft Advisory Stature Aviation | Full-time, On-site | Addison, TX Stature Aviation is growing, and we are building the next generation of aircraft sales, acquisitions, and management. As we continue expanding our aircraft ownership services, we are creating a new senior leadership role designed to bring even greater technical insight, owner advocacy, and aircraft records expertise to the clients we serve. The Director of Aircraft Advisory will help shape a more sophisticated ownership experience for Stature clients - one built around trusted guidance, objective maintenance oversight, acquisition support, aircraft records review, and confident decision-making at every stage of ownership. This is not a traditional maintenance shop role. It is a high-impact advisory position for an experienced aviation professional who understands aircraft, maintenance, records, ownership risk, vendor relationships, and the importance of protecting the client’s investment. About Stature Aviation Stature Aviation is a premium aviation company based at Addison Airport, serving aircraft owners, pilots, and busy professionals who expect a higher level of service. Our business is in a major growth phase, expanding across aircraft sales, acquisitions, aircraft management, flight training, pilot services, and ownership support. We are building the systems, leadership structure, and client experience required to support owners at a higher level — from selecting the right aircraft to managing the details that keep ownership organized, protected, and enjoyable. This role is being added to support our continued growth and further elevate the standard we are already known for. The Role The Director of Aircraft Advisory serves as Stature’s expert advocate for client aircraft. This person will oversee maintenance recommendations, review estimates and invoices, evaluate aircraft records, support acquisitions and listings, and help clients make informed ownership decisions with confidence. This role does not perform maintenance. It ensures the maintenance process is reviewed, questioned, documented, and communicated with the client’s best interest in mind. What You’ll Own Maintenance Oversight & Client Advocacy · Review third-party maintenance estimates before client approval. · Review final maintenance invoices before clients are advised to pay. · Classify maintenance items as required, recommended, optional, cosmetic, deferable, or future watch. · Push back professionally on unclear, unsupported, excessive, or questionable maintenance recommendations. · Request photos, documentation, and clarification from maintenance facilities. · Review warranty, CMX, JetStream, engine program, parts program, or other program applicability when relevant. · Help clients understand what needs to happen now, what can wait, and what deserves a closer look. Aircraft Records, Acquisitions & Sales Support · Review logbooks and aircraft records for managed aircraft onboarding. · Support acquisition clients with aircraft records review, maintenance history review, and pre-buy findings. · Support aircraft listings by identifying maintenance history, upcoming exposure, missing records, and value-impacting items. · Identify damage history, AD/SB concerns, inspection status, recurring issues, and ownership risks. · Help determine whether an aircraft is a strong fit for acquisition, management, or resale. Vendor & Internal Team Coordination · Communicate with maintenance facilities regarding findings, estimates, invoices, documentation, and discrepancies. · Build and maintain relationships with trusted maintenance partners. · Provide technical guidance to the Client Experience Team for owner-facing updates. · Work closely with the Director of Aircraft Logistics on downtime, return-to-service expectations, and operational impact. · Document recommendations, reviews, approvals, and deferred items in Stature’s aircraft management systems. What This Role Does Not Own This is not a wrench-turning, dispatch, concierge, or sales closing role. This role does not own aircraft repositioning, daily schedule management, billing administration, or the overall client relationship. Your lane is clear: expert aircraft advisory, maintenance oversight, records review, and client advocacy. Who You Are You are a senior aviation professional with the experience, judgment, and confidence to be the expert in the room. You understand aircraft maintenance and ownership well enough to ask the right questions, challenge vague recommendations, identify risk, and explain what matters. You can communicate professionally with maintenance facilities, aircraft owners, sales teams, and internal leadership. You are detail-oriented, but not buried in the weeds. You understand that aircraft ownership is expensive, complex, and personal, and you know how to bring clarity and confidence to the process. You are comfortable helping build process, improve standards, and influence how a growing aviation company supports aircraft owners. You have the maturity to lead, the backbone to push back, and the polish to represent a premium aviation company. Ideal Background The right candidate may come from one or more of the following backgrounds: · Aircraft maintenance advisory · Maintenance control · Service advising · Aircraft records review · Director of Maintenance or maintenance leadership · Aircraft management operations · Pre-buy or acquisition support · Manufacturer or service center experience Cirrus experience is heavily valued. Experience with owner-flown aircraft, aircraft management, warranty coordination, CMX, JetStream, engine programs, parts programs, turbine aircraft, or light jets is highly valuable. A&P certification is a plus but not required if the candidate has deep maintenance knowledge, strong records experience, and excellent judgment. What Success Looks Like · Clients receive clear, confident maintenance guidance. · Estimates and invoices are reviewed before clients approve or pay. · Shops are questioned when recommendations or charges are unclear. · Aircraft records are reviewed before onboarding, acquisition, or listing decisions. · Maintenance risks and ownership exposure are identified early. · The Client Experience Team has expert input for owner communication. · Aircraft Logistics has clear maintenance timing guidance. · Stature is known as an aircraft ownership advocate, not just a coordinator.
