Job Description Overview Catapult Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (Care Guide) to join our team in Dallas. This role is not a traditional medical assistant position. The Care Guide builds ongoing relationships with patients, helping them navigate the healthcare system, stay engaged in their care, and follow through with their care plans. This role combines elements of care coordination, patient support, and concierge-level service to create a high-trust experience for our members. The Care Guide is often the first and most frequent point of contact for patients, helping make healthcare feel personal, clear, and manageable. What You’ll Do Patient Relationship Management • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of patients, • Conduct proactive check-ins to support patient progress and understanding, • Use motivational interviewing and coaching techniques to encourage healthy behaviors, • Partner with nurse practitioners and clinical team members to support care plans, • Assist with scheduling appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing, • Help patients navigate healthcare services and remove barriers to care, • Provide concierge-level patient support through phone, text, and digital communication, • Translate medical information into clear, understandable next steps, • Use EHR, Zendesk, and digital tools to manage patient interactions, • Utilize AI-supported tools to summarize interactions and plan follow-ups, • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Required Qualifications • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) in good standing, • 3+ years of patient-facing experience in outpatient, care coordination, or virtual care environments, • Experience using motivational interviewing or health coaching techniques, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Ability to manage multiple patients and tasks with strong organization, • Comfortable using technology and digital communication tools Preferred Qualifications • NBHWC Health & Wellness Coach or CDCES certification, • Experience in health coaching or chronic disease management, • Telehealth or virtual care experience, • Bilingual or multilingual Why Join Catapult Health?
