Job Description ABOUT THE ROLE The Segment Specialist – Vending is responsible for driving sales growth and supporting business development in the vending and foodservice sector. This role involves identifying market opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the vending industry, food service operations, and a passion for providing exceptional service. RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the vending and foodservice market., • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets., • Collaborate with sales teams to expand market share and optimize product offerings., • Build and maintain strong relationships with vending operators, distributors, and key stakeholders., • Conduct regular business reviews to assess client needs and ensure satisfaction., • Provide product training, support, and insights to clients to help maximize their vending operations., • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform sales strategies., • Identify opportunities for product innovation and work with internal teams to enhance offerings., • Stay informed on industry regulations and emerging trends to keep the company at the forefront of the market., • Act as the subject matter expert for vending products and solutions., • Provide training and support to internal teams and clients on product features and best practices., • Track sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback., • Prepare regular reports on sales activities and performance metrics., • Perform additional duties as required. SKILLLS/QUALIFICATIONS • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written., • Ability to work independently with no supervision, to prioritize/plan your schedule., • Able to multi-task., • Able to get along with others and provide superior customer service., • Excellent decision and negotiating skills., • Effective time-management skills., • Excellent conflict resolution skills., • Maintain a high level of professionalism., • Proven experience in food service sales, with a focus on vending or similar segments., • Strong knowledge of the vending industry, including operational processes and customer preferences., • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills., • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies., • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently., • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite., • Willingness to travel as required., • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred., • Experience working with vending machine technology or product management preferred., • business managers, account executives, and sales administration staff., • Frequent road driving., • Highly concentrated mental and visual alertness., • A major portion of the day is spent talking either in person or by telephone., • Frequent up/down motion to perform duties., • Moderate typing, calculating or otherwise working with fingers., • Visual acuity., • Ability to hear and receive detailed information., • Some light physical demands.
