Program Eligibility: To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria: Location: San Antonio, Texas Qualifications & Education • A masters degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution., • Licensed as an LPC-A (Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate) in the State of Texas or eligible to obtain a license., • Supervision - Must have a qualified supervisor in accordance with state licensure requirements. Experience • Prior experience in clinical practice, particularly with children and adolescents facing behavioral and emotional challenges. Experience in a school or clinic-based setting is preferred., • Current LPC-A licensurein the state (or the ability to obtain licensure)., • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a wide range of clinical issues., • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems. Skills • Knowledge of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, play therapy, behavioral modification, and trauma-informed care., • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsto interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues., • Ability to work independently and as part of a teamin a collaborative environment., • Cultural competencein working with diverse populations and understanding of how cultural factors impact behavior and mental health., • Flexibility and adaptabilityto respond to the varying needs of children with behavioral challenges., • Ability to work in juvenile detention centers or patient-centered service facilities., • Experience working with children who exhibit a range of behavioral issues, including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, conduct disorders, and trauma-related behaviors., • Clinical specialization in pediatrics, youth, and adolescents., • Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
