Job Description • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service, • Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises, • Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance, • Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported, • Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required, • Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards, • Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations, • Document all incidents occurring in the hotel in connection with crime, subversions, potential liabilities and insurance requirements. And in documenting such activities remain objective, and write comprehensive reports., • Conduct cash counts and crowd control, • Handle all internal and external inquiries in person and via phone/email whilst sitting in the security office, • Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel and action any situation requiring attention, including all stairwell, • Handle and document guest and employee accidents, guest room lock problems, noise complaints, and any questionable individuals on the premises., • Assist disabled guests., • Assist in implementing preventive safety and security programs., • Assist hotel staff in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly conduct, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, employee or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, robberies, terrorist activities, civil disturbance, power or elevator failures, medical assistance and natural disasters., • Remain informed of current Federal and local laws and regulations as they relate to the hotel, particularly in areas of guest, patron and employee rights., • Take an active role in the implementation of the hotel's fire plan including the General Communication Center, the Command Post, all technical equipment and the roles each employee/manager plays., • Champion the hotel sex trafficking prevention program and offer guidance to employees., • Assist in training related to the hotel's emergency procedures., • Control the key, lock system, alarm system, and fire protection system., • Conduct V.I.P. escorts in a professional and courteous manner., • Monitor the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), and review the footage as needed., • Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records, • Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report, • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way, • Coordinate lost and found items program. (SCADP) was established in 1972 in a grassroots effort by community members seeking alternatives to prison for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD). SCADP is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing residential treatment services and outpatient counseling services to individuals throughout Los Angeles, as well as housing and supportive services for survivors of domestic violence. SCADP now offers services with a continuum of care to underserved and disadvantaged populations throughout the Los Angeles area. JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE In training to be an AOD counselor, the AOD Support Staff I MC – Registered provides services to beneficiaries participating in treatment while monitoring the program premises for safety and security. Meets annual renewal requirements and submits annual renewal of Registration until Certification is earned. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • AOD COUNSELING, • Under guidance and supervision of a Certified AOD Counselor, the AOD Support Staff I learns alcohol and drug counseling functions including screening, assessment, and intake; collects specimen from clients for drug and alcohol screening in accord with organization Policy and Procedures., • Collaborates with case manager and therapist to assist treatment and other plans; assists in required intervention; participates in group and educational sessions; assists in completing discharge and transition plans and completes required Electronic Health Records (EHR)., • Transports program participants in the company vehicle to offsite appointments, as needed., • PROGRAM Security, • PROGRAM ENTRANCE MONITORING: The front door to the facility is the only permitted entrance and exit for participants, employees, partners, vendors, visitors or any other persons. Monitor entrance to permit only authorized persons entry (as per program guidance), in order to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Record participant entry and exit as required by program rules., • BAG & PERSON SCREENING: Monitors search all participants’ belongings being brought into the Program each time a participant enters, including their pockets, while monitoring for any signs of substance use or bringing contraband into the program. This is a critical step in ensuring the safety and security of everyone.
