FSQA Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Job Description We are seeking an experienced FSQA Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Food Safety & Quality Assurance department in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment near the Atlanta Airport. This role ensures that all production and quality activities meet or exceed company, customer, and regulatory standards with a strong focus on food safety, quality, service, and compliance. Responsibilities • Supervise FSQA department staff, schedules, and daily tasks to support production, shipping, and receiving., • Maintain and verify HACCP, prerequisite programs, and Food Safety & Quality Plans according to SQF standards., • Implement and manage the company’s Food Safety and Quality Systems., • Conduct training for QA inspectors and production employees on food safety and quality protocols., • Evaluate QA team performance and recommend corrective actions when needed., • Maintain records in compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, and company policies., • Support the facility’s environmental testing program to ensure compliance with all standards., • Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to prevent and resolve quality issues., • Manage product disposition for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods (test/approve/hold/reject)., • Assist with root cause analysis, supplier issues, and customer complaint resolutions., • Support process improvements and plant trials as part of continuous improvement efforts. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related field., • HACCP and GFSI certifications required; PCQI preferred., • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or auditing., • Strong knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and food safety systems., • Excellent communication and analytical skills., • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)., • Bilingual (English & Spanish) strongly preferred. Work Environment • Cold, wet, and fast-paced food production environment., • Temperature range: 34°ree;F to 38°ree;F., • Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and cleaning chemicals., • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods., • QA employees may be exposed to laboratory chemicals; proper PPE is provided and required at all times.
