As an Assistant Manager, you will be the right hand to the General Manager, helping to cultivate a positive store culture, drive operational excellence, and develop a team that makes the best sub sandwiches on the planet. What You'll Do (Your Role): As an Assistant Manager, you are a critical part of our store's success. You will: • Lead by Example: Master all positions (slicing, grilling, sprinkling, cashier) and work alongside the crew, setting the pace for speed, quality, and exceptional customer service., • Coach & Develop: Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to help your crew grow their skills and confidence. You’re not a boss; you’re a mentor., • Run a Flawless Shift: Manage shift operations, including opening and closing the store, ensuring proper cash handling procedures, and maintaining our high standards for cleanliness and food safety., • Drive Results: Assist the General Manager with inventory management, food and labor cost control, and scheduling to ensure the store is running efficiently and profitably., • Be the Vibe: Foster the fun, energetic, and positive atmosphere that Jersey Mike's is famous for. You'll engage with customers, build relationships, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile., • Uphold the Standard: Ensure every sub is made to Jersey Mike's specifications and that our commitment to quality is evident in everything we do. What You Bring to the Table (Our Ideal Candidate): • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of leadership experience in a restaurant, fast-casual, or retail environment., • Leadership Skills: You have a natural ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable to high standards in a positive way., • Passion for People: You genuinely enjoy interacting with customers and coaching a team. You have a knack for making people feel valued., • High Energy: You thrive in a fast-paced setting and can think on your feet to solve problems as they arise., • Reliability: You are dependable, punctual, and have a flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends., • Bonus Points: ServSafe certification is a plus!
