Job Description General Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The HVAC Technician will ensure optimal performance and safety of HVAC systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Installs, maintains, services and repairs environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Installation, service, troubleshooting and repairs including but not limited to; chillers, air handling units, controls, package units, split systems, exhaust fans, refrigerators, freezers, hot/chilled water pumps. Involvement in Site’s predictive maintenance program so previous experience is highly desirable., • Tasks ranging from operation of systems to the examination and evaluation of equipment to determine needed repairs, • Installs refrigeration and air conditioning systems by positioning compressors, motors, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, heaters and other components in accordance with design specifications., • Charges refrigeration systems with refrigerant gas tests for leaks., • Starts unit and adjusts it for proper cut-in and cut-out of refrigeration units, humidifiers, heaters, air cleaners, and circulating pumps., • Adjust systems for optimal performance., • Maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems by checking performance and determining problems. Repairs, adjusts, or replaces defective elements., • Installs, maintains and repairs the electrical and pneumatic systems associated with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment from the safety switch throughout the equipment., • Installs, maintains, repairs, operates all types centrifugal and reciprocating refrigeration/air-conditioning systems; also all types of pneumatic/electro-mechanical temperature controls., • Performs necessary plumbing procedures to ensure operation of systems and equipment, • Performs preventive maintenance., • Involvement in Site’s predictive maintenance program., • Performs other duties and shift coverage, as required. Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements • Must have EPA certification per CFR part 82f (Universal preferred) for servicing and recovery of refrigerants., • Ability to read blue prints, sketches, and specifications pertaining to air conditioning and refrigeration systems; to follow oral instructions; to use shop mathematics; to lay out work., • Minimum 4 years of experience performing the specific craft function or certification from a recognized trade school., • Requires broad trade knowledge of mechanical principals on standard shop methods of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade., • Experience and/or certification in one or more predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasound, etc.)., • High level of computer aptitude and knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)., • Ability to interpret and develop technical reports., • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions. Leads engineering, design and development for the Civil and Mechanical Engineering groups. PURPOSE: The Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP) provides a transitional living environment for older youth who are ready to move towards independent living but could benefit from a supported environment to build the skills required to live independently. The SILP provides resources for youth aged 18 to 20 who are experiencing challenges as they transition to adulthood. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Clinical Supervisor has clinical and administrative responsibility for SILP apartments, under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Director. The Supervisor is responsible for carrying a small caseload, supervising clinical staff, ensuring the provision of psychotherapeutic, psychiatric and case management services for residents, overseeing administrative processes, and participating in various administrative and team conferences. New York Power Authority's Project Delivery division is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Waterway Infrastructure team, supporting the revitalization of the New York State Canal System. The candidate will have a meaningful role with a high degree of accountability for leading and executing revitalization projects, transforming the Erie Canal for the benefit of its communities. Projects will include replacement of water control structures, rehabilitation of earthen and mechanical dams, and the creation of public recreational spaces along the Canal front. Partner with senior leadership to develop technical approaches to larger projects., • Scheduling and tracking project budgets, milestones, and deliverables., • Utilizing Woodard & Curran’s Project Management Framework to execute all projects., • Demonstrating strong and proactive communication skills to keep the project management and technical team(s) updated as project work progresses., • Connecting and working with external suppliers and subcontractors support project delivery, • Interacting with clients and representing the firm in a professional manner, • Visiting client sites for meetings, proposal development, and/or to observe the status of construction projects., • Coordinating with contractors and clients in the field during construction to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with the Contract Documents., • Interfacing with state and local regulatory agencies and permitting officials, • Conducting and coordinating QA/QC reviews on project deliverables to ensure Woodard & Curran technical excellence standards are met., • Collaborating with leadership and resource leaders on staffing projects., • Providing input on the development of Woodard & Curran design guidelines and standards., • Preparing and delivering presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations., • Supporting business development efforts under the direction of a client manager.What you will need to succeed:, • 10-15 years of consulting engineering experience., • A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. An M.S. Degree is preferred., • Registered Professional Engineer in New York (or ability to apply for reciprocity)., • The successful candidate will have project management and delivery expertise in civil and environmental engineering and an in-depth understanding of the engineering concepts associated with municipal water systems, • Ability to manage multiple projects with demonstrated strong project management skills, • Well-versed in state and federal regulations., • Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs., • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills., • Demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations to stakeholders is a plus., • Experience with proposal writing and developing project scope, budget, and schedulesThis role has the option for remote work, and the anticipated pay range is flexible, depending on factors such as the employee's primary work location, skills, experience, and education.
