Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to identify electrical or mechanical faults accurately. Repair or replace components such as motors, compressors, valves, pumps, and electrical wiring to restore system functionality efficiently. Read and interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to execute precise installations or repairs aligned with project specifications. Conduct welding and equipment repair tasks as needed for mechanical systems or structural components related to HVAC infrastructure. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, parts used, and system performance outcomes. Assist with property maintenance tasks including plumbing repairs, appliance troubleshooting, and general mechanical upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and plumbing. Proven field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently using schematics and technical manuals. Skilled in equipment repair techniques such as welding, component replacement, and system calibration. Familiarity with HVAC design principles to support installation projects or system upgrades. Ability to operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters accurately for electrical troubleshooting. Experience working with property maintenance teams on diverse tasks including appliance repair and general mechanical upkeep. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between sites. THE POSITION: Our firm is seeking to hire a dynamic experienced Partner to join and help lead our New York litigation practice. This leadership role is for an attorney with extensive experience in insurance defense litigation that thrives in strategy and oversight. Rather than handling the day-to-day operations for cases the Partner will provide high-level oversight, shape litigation strategy, and maintain and develop client relationships. The Partner will manage complex matters, mentor associates, and collaborate closely with clients. Our clients in these matters include property owners, insurance companies, and municipalities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide strategic oversight and direction on litigation matters, • Serve as a key contact for clients and insurers., • Review legal strategies, filings, and associate performance., • Mentor senior and junior attorneys to contribute to firm development., • Step in on matters when needed to ensure high standards are met. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school., • Must be currently barred in New York. Experience: • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in litigation., • Extensive experience in general liability or personal injury insurance defense, • Prior experience with insurance defense firms (required) PREFERRED SKILLS: • Strong leadership and client management skills., • Thorough knowledge of litigation trends and legal operations., • Experience in firm or department leadership role preferred, • Experience conducting training or supervising junior attorneys., • Experience handling construction/workplace accidents and suits brought under New York’s Labor Law
