Job Description Div/Dept: Transmission Planning FLSA Status: Exempt General Definition of Work This position is part of the Transmission Planning team and supports transmission planning, transmission operations, and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance for Florida Municipal Power Agency (FMPA or the Agency) and its municipal electric utility members. This position supports a broad range of long-term planning and short-term operations-horizon transmission planning related power system analysis, studies, and functions. These include transmission system load flow, short circuit, transient stability, system reliability, and interconnection studies and evaluations for FMPA member requirements. Operating horizon planning studies include next-day planning, seasonal studies, and weekly coordination of outages and confirmation of Available Transmission Capacity (ATC). Collects, manages, calculates and provides modeling data representing FMPA assets and member assets as required for Agency’s Planning Coordinator function, and related work as apparent or assigned. Job Description Position Purpose and Objectives Under direction of Supervisor and Department Manager, performs Mechanical, electrical repairs of the facility and grounds. Performs assigned preventive maintenance work orders and fills out accurate details of work performed and parts requisitions to maintain proper inventory levels. Will assist in project planning, implementation and assist in line set up, repairs and clean up as needed. Essential Job Functions • Follows all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Follow company GMP rules while maintaining the facility and equipment., • Perform drywall repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, pressure washing, and other duties as needed., • Visually observe the facility and equipment, develop a working list of maintenance work orders to be completed. Perform facility and equipment audits ie: fire extinguishers, ladders, lights inside and outside and extension cords., • Skills to set up and safely operate shop equipment ie: drill press, saws, grinders and other metal working equipment., • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the facility, determine root caused and make necessary repairs.
